Cerebral is on a mission to build a new era of mental healthcare.

About us

At Cerebral, we are building a new era of mental healthcare. We believe that everyone everywhere deserves to get the care they need, and are striving to make care convenient and accessible, while tackling the stigmas that surround mental illness. With support from investors like SoftBank, Silver Lake, Access Industries, Bill Ackman, WestCap, and others, and impactful leaders like you, we’ll continue to democratize mental health care and double down on clinical quality to deliver exceptional patient outcomes: • 82% of patients report an improvement in their anxiety symptoms after using Cerebral. • 75% of patients who report improvement in their depression see improvement within 60 days. • 50% of patients who initially report suicidal ideation no longer harbor suicidal thoughts after treatment with Cerebral. This is just the beginning for Cerebral, and we won’t stop building, growing, and iterating until everyone, everywhere can access high-quality evidence-based mental health care without high costs and/or long wait times. We’re looking for mission-driven leaders who share these values, and we need your help as we transform access to high-quality mental health care in the United States and beyond. Attention: We have become aware of scammers misusing our company name to target individuals applying for open positions at Cerebral. Please exercise caution and be vigilant. Huge congratulations to Cerebral clinician Mallori Levengood for receiving the Practitioner of the Year award at the 50th annual Arkansas Council for Behavioral Health Institute! 🎉 Mallori is a board-certified Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner who joined the Cerebral team in 2021. She's an advocate for individuals seeking mental health care and loves providing care to her patients: "I knew from a young age that I wanted to follow in my late grandfathers’ footsteps, psychiatrist Dr. William Joseph James. I find purpose in providing care to those with #mentalhealth conditions and hope to be a voice for those who have felt silenced or felt as if they were alone in their fight. I strive to always provide compassionate and empathetic care to help reduce the stigma surrounding mental illness and shine a light to let others know they are not alone. Working with Cerebral clients has provided me with an incredible platform to reach more individuals across many states who are struggling with their mental health and provide them with hope and resources that they can overcome what they are struggling with and that they are not alone." Thank you Mallori for being an integral part of Cerebral's mission to make high-quality mental health care more accessible! 👏

So excited to share this article (https://lnkd.in/enUihCpM) by Bill Siwicki showcasing the impactful results Cerebral has realized through AI chart auditing! Since implementation 6 months ago, we have seen an 81% improvement in meeting critical audit criteria while also decreasing time spent on chart audits by 78%. These significant advancements are the result of a collaborative team effort. Thank you to Lauren Norris-Milton for realizing the potential positive impacts of a partnership with Brellium and leading the charge throughout the implementation phase and Maura Pfeifer for supporting change management and the team throughout the process. Christine Cauwels, our clinical leader who determined audit criteria and worked tirelessly to get the questions and screening tool fine-tuned for implementation in partnership with Jacqueline Kniska JD, CHC, LPEC, and John JL Chobor, Esq. Omar Ali and Rafael Garcia Mar from our data team who supported implementation and continue to support ongoing iterations. Zach Rosen, Henry Kasa, Erik Ostman, and Olin Wakkary at Brellium for their continued partnership. I have never worked with a vendor with such quick response times - they feel like an extension of the Cerebral team! And lastly, thank you to David Mou MD MBA and Kelsey Anderson Lundgren for fostering such an innovative and forward-thinking culture that enables us to creatively problem solve and explore exciting, new opportunities. #cerebral #brellium #AI #artificialintelligence #mentalhealth #behavioralhealth #virtualcare

Should #anxiety screenings become a routine part of medical care? Experts say yes. ✅ Certain medical screenings, such as cancer screenings, are now widely recognized recommendations for standard, high-quality medical care. But for the first time, medical experts have begun recommending that all adults under 65 should be screened for anxiety. Many individuals who have an anxiety disorder live with it unknowingly for years before they’re diagnosed. Additionally, untreated anxiety has been linked to higher risks of cardiovascular diseases, elevated blood pressure, and other medical conditions. Screening for anxiety disorders could change that. 👀 Read the full article by our CEO David Mou MD MBA here: https://lnkd.in/gFitMPh9

Let's talk about the legacy of Bebe Moore Campbell. 💜 July is BIPOC Mental Health Awareness Month, which highlights BIPOC #mentalhealth and commemorates trailblazer Bebe Moore Campbell. Bebe Moore Campbell was a best-selling novelist, journalist, and advocate for mental health. Her work explored the intersectionality of mental health, racial identity, family dynamics, environment, society, and culture. She continuously wrote about the impact of real, historical events on Black and marginalized communities, bringing conversations about race to the forefront of society. Let's use this time as a reminder about the importance of advocating for Black, Indigenous, and Peoples of Color. Starting conversations around mental health is an important step toward breaking the stigma and promoting open dialogue. At Cerebral, our mission is to not only make mental healthcare more accessible, but provide resources for all individuals on their mental health journey. Before you reach for that third cup of coffee ☕😬,️ let's talk about how diet can impact #anxiety. The things we eat and drink can play a role in regulating mood and anxiety levels. Nutrients — or the lack thereof — can affect brain chemistry, influencing emotions and stress levels. So while a morning cup of coffee may provide a temporary energy boost, excessive caffeine consumption can trigger or worsen anxiety symptoms. On the flip side, consider adding nutritious foods like eggs, leafy greens or fish to your daily meals to support serotonin production and brain function. 🥬🍣 Check out the full list of the best and worst foods for anxiety here: https://lnkd.in/g4-i7urV
