Built in partnership with Nickelodeon and Paramount+, “Like A Sponge” encompasses a variety of international activations, content, and partnerships, brought to life with creators and fans and united by the idea of living like SpongeBob — where the right perspective can make the mundane magical. For our first IRL activation, we’re showing up at San Diego Comic-Con with SpongeBob’s ✨Fountain of Positivity,✨ a head-turning, joy-inducing waaaaater fountain that keeps fans hydrated without the need for single-use polluting plastic. A bright yellow beacon on the grounds of #SDCC, our functional water fountain will be complete with Sponge-tastic splash zones and memorable photo moments with your favorite Bikini Bottom characters. “‘Like a Sponge’ is all about seeing the world through Sponge-colored glasses. Bottling that can-do, nothing’s impossible spirit and finding every yay in every day,” said Ian Grody, Chief Creative Officer of Giant Spoon. “We’ve never needed it, and him, more.” SpongeBob’s Fountain of Positivity is located in front of the Omni Hotel from Thursday, July 25 through Saturday, July 27 from 9:30am to 7:00pm, and Sunday, July 28 11:00am to 4:00pm. To support the next generation of creative talent, we recently hosted an end-of-the-school-year party for Bottom Line, an education non-profit that expands students’ career prospects by access and support through college. Currently, Bottom Line serves students from all five NYC boroughs, including over 1,700 college students at 21 colleges across the state. The event celebrated Bottom Line students completing the academic year, helping build community among students and staff, while also connecting students with upcoming summer program offerings. We spent the weekend at #BETX shouting out Black ingenuity and entrepreneurship. 📢 Featuring brand founders and artists, Walmart Black & Unlimited: The Shoutout included: 🖌️ Personalized merch from Jae Tips (@jaetips) and Nicky Chulo (@nickychulo) and designs from Ceej Vega (@ceej.vega) and Chindo Nkenke-Smith (@ordinarychin) to help attendees shoutout their fave Black creators 🛍️ A special lineup of Black-led brands sold at Walmart 💙 And giveaways for attendees to keep and pass on to friend to keep spreading the word about Black-led businesses By giving fans the tools and inspiration to wear and share shoutouts for Black creators, The Shoutout supercharges word-of-mouth to connect them to a community of supporters and business opps.
