By joining Girl Scouts, our youth participants become automatically connected to a network of peers and mentors from around the world. Troop 68085's Journey through London is a perfect example of this specific Girl Scout magic. A group of Girl Scout Ambassadors from Tyngsboro made their way "across the pond" last month for WAGGGS Pax Lodge's weeklong Girl Scouting event. During their visit they got to tour the city, participate in Girl Scout traditions from around the world, and attend a pinning ceremony at Pax Lodge. The group's troop leader, Marina, reported that they "were welcomed by an amazing staff and made some great new friends while staying at the Lodge."

While working towards their Girl Scout Bronze Award, six members of Troop 70542 identified stress and anxiety as a problem that affected many of their peers and other members of their community. To help address this problem, these Bronze Award Girl Scouts designed and hosted a three-hour Mental Wellness Fair at their local library. Their programming included book recommendations, DIY Mental Wellness kit suggestions, Girl-Scout-led yoga, and a discussion with a nutrition intern. We are so proud of these empathetic and hardworking Girl Scouts who made this wonderful event possible. Great job, all!

As part of National Grid’s New England Week of Service, GSEMA hosted volunteers to paint picnic benches at Camp Wind-in-the-Pines in Plymouth. We are so grateful for their company's partnership, which helps us to support our Outdoor Skills programming and annual STEM Fest.

At Girl Scouts, we believe in the power of every person to make a difference. That’s why the National Civic Action: Promote the Vote is helping Girl Scouts learn about the democratic process and civic engagement. Though they may not yet vote, their voices are crucial in shaping our democracy. This is how you and the Girl Scout(s) in your life can get involved: https://lnkd.in/eU7MuCar

My journey into entrepreneurship began like most of my adult pursuits - through Girl Scouts of the USA. In middle school, I used to go door-to-door, selling cookies on my rollerblades. In the early 2000s, as a volunteer with Girl Scouts Patriots' Trail Council, now Girl Scouts of Eastern MA, I learned about e-commerce and product fulfillment processes through the Cookie CEO program. Little did I know then how pioneering this program was and that the logistics experience I gained would transfer to my first "real" job in Manufacturing. Check out this article from 1998: https://lnkd.in/gcGdzA4F And this top-seller award ceremony circa 1996!
