🎥 Supporting the local journalism in Kosovo Training sessions with local journalists are being held throughout Kosovo, equipping them with skills required for creating compelling multi-platform content. 📍Organised by Telegrafi in partnership with a local production company #Pixels, and tech company Shqip.ai, several local journalists from Ferizaj/Uroševac, Gjakovë/Djakovica, Gjilan/Gnjilane, Pejë/Peć and Prizren have attended the local sessions. Around 7️⃣0️⃣ journalists from seven major municipalities will be benefiting from this series of training, who mostly are from local media, NGOs, freelancers and media from different communities across seven municipalities.  Post-training, these outlets will produce content pertinent to their communities on different #social, #economic, #education, #health, #green energy, #infrastructure, #agriculture topics, which will then be broadened to a wider audience via #Telegrafi's expansive channels. 🇪🇺 🇩🇪 Funded by European Union and Germany, these trainings are supported by the GIZ-implemented regional project on #SustainMedia, aiming to enhance collaboration between media and high-tech companies, as well as to foster networking and exchange between local media and journalists.

From women's economic empowerment to their inclusion in decision-making and peacebuilding, the forum addressed vital issues that need urgent attention for a more inclusive future.   🇽🇰 The delegation from Kosovo, alongside other regional participants, played a crucial role in highlighting the importance of addressing these issues to foster sustainable development. ⚡️Just Transition Forum 2024 📍Energy Community hosted the Just Transition Forum this week in Pristina, starting with a captivating video featuring the coal municipality of Obiliq/Obilić and its residents, who are central to the forthcoming energy transition. In this video, coal workers in the KEK power plant and mine share their opinions and concerns about their jobs and futures, the transition away from coal as well as the support they are hoping for. The video was prepared as a contribution to the 2024 Energy Community Just Transition Forum with support from Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH.   💬 The Forum followed up with key sessions that featured discussions on financing the future, while Monika Figaj, Climate and Just Transition expert at the Energy Community Secretariat, delivered a powerful reminder: “Our fossil-based infrastructure won’t last another generation. It’s time for National Energy and Climate Plans, Long-Term Low Emission Development Strategies, and Just Transition Plans to lead the way.   Youth representatives also brought an essential voice to the table, calling on decision-makers to engage with them and adapt communication efforts to better target and engage the youth, with social media campaigns evoking empathy and calls to action at the heart of their upcoming efforts.
