🌟 Ava, a member of the May 2024 Dominican Republic cohort, reflected on her experience after finishing the final day at the clinic. She shared how the trip had a profound impact on her, helping her realize that healthcare extends far beyond the hospital 🏥. Seeing and interacting with the local communities showed her that there are many ways to help and support others outside of traditional medical settings 🌍💙. Ava’s advice for future participants: take the time to connect with your team members 🤝. Share meals together 🍽️, talk to them, and learn about their lives. They aren’t just there to help with logistics—they're incredible people with their own stories. Building those relationships will make the experience even more rewarding.
