God's Love We Deliver

In celebration of our birthday month - God’s Love was founded on May 1st, 1985 - we collaborated with Tony Award Winner Bonnie Milligan, along with Broadway stars Arielle Jacobs, Bradley Gibson, and Zachary Noah Piser to create “Delivering Love,” our latest music video! Our parody of “Seasons of Love” from the legendary musical RENT calls back to the AIDS crisis in New York City, when God’s Love was founded to feed those who were homebound with AIDS. Having grown to cook and home-deliver more than 4 million meals annually, we address over 200 individual diagnoses with our medically tailored meals. Our core commitments have remained at the heart of who we are: delivering meals to everyone who need us, never having a waitlist, and delivering meals the next delivery day. We are delighted to announce that the God’s Love We Deliver Executive Team is adding two new members: Terrence Meck as Chief Strategy & Growth Officer and Kevin Popa as Chief Human Resources Officer. Terrence Meck joined our board of directors in 2011, serving as Chair for four years, and leaving an indelible mark on the organization. During his tenure on the Board, Terrence supported God’s Love through an era of tremendous growth: we delivered our 30 millionth meal; doubled the number of meals we delivered annually; moved into our new SoHo headquarters, the Michael Kors Building; expanded to the historic Northern Dispensary; launched the benefit concert Love Rocks NYC; launched the young professionals group genLOVE and Culinary Council; became the exclusive charity partner for the New York City Wine & Food Festival, and so much more.   As Chief Strategy & Growth Officer and on the precipice of our 40 millionth meal and 40th year, Terrence will help God’s Love move into the next era of our work. Terrence will oversee strategic decisions around growth in meal production, geography, policy work, systems and more. Kevin Popa brings more than 25 years of experience in human resources leadership, having worked in financial, legal, and professional services organizations that included supporting various philanthropic endeavors and teams within those organizations. Most recently, he served as the head of human resources of DSTG Services LLC where he led human resources for DST Global’s venture capital team and the Breakthrough Prize Foundation. His previous leadership roles include positions of increasing responsibility at Barclays, UBS, Fragomen, Del Rey, Bernsen & Loewy, and Teneo.   With a strong leadership team in place, we embark on a new chapter filled with anticipation and renewed commitment to our shared mission. During Hispanic Heritage Month, we recognize the accomplishments of our Chief Business Development Officer, Dorella W., who was recently honored at the 2024 Latin Impact Awards! 👏 Presented by Beth Page Federal Credit Union and hosted by Schneps Media, the award celebrates Latin American leaders who make a lasting impact in our community.   As Chief Business Development Officer, Dorella joins our team in delivering nearly 5 million medically tailored meals each year to those living with life-altering illnesses. Her leadership in building new opportunities and partnerships allows us to serve those who need it most. Dorella also leads the national healthcare track at the Food is Medicine Coalition ensuring agencies across the country can navigate healthcare contracts to continue serving those who are too sick to shop or cook for themselves. Her dedication is has been a true inspiration! Last Friday, nearly 100 volunteers from the WBD team gathered at our headquarters to prepare, package, and deliver meals to over 5,000 clients in need. We were grateful to have Warner Bros.
