  • We are thrilled to share that Alba, a remarkable 15-year-old, has officially rung the bell, marking the end of her chemotherapy journey! Diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia (ALL) in May 2022, Alba has shown incredible strength and resilience throughout her treatment. Not only has she faced her challenges with courage, but she’s also used her experience to inspire others. In 2023, she designed a special shirt for Riverdale High School, with proceeds benefiting Golisano Childrens Hospital. As she looks forward to a future beyond cancer, we celebrate her resilience and the incredible impact she continues to make in our community. Join us in celebrating Alba’s victory!💙 #ChildhoodCancerAwareness #BellRinging #GolisanoChildrensHospital

  • As we reflect on the impact of Hurricane Milton, we want to recognize the incredible sacrifices made by our Golisano Children's Hospital staff. Many of them left their own families to be here, working tirelessly to provide care and support to our young patients and their families during this challenging time. Their unwavering dedication and selflessness have made a profound difference in the lives of those we serve. We also want to highlight the comfort brought by Dorian and Lemon, our facility dogs, who have been a source of warmth and joy, bringing smiles to everyone they meet. The commitment and resilience of our team in the face of adversity truly exemplify the heart of our community. Thank you to each and every one of you for your compassion and support. • This National Childhood Cancer Awareness Month, we are excited to celebrate a special event at Golisano Children's Hospital! For the past five years, Riverdale High School has partnered with Barbara’s Friends to feature a young artist on their homecoming t-shirt. This year, Marison Bradley, a brave 15-year-old fighting both lymphoma and leukemia, was the honored artist. Although Marison couldn’t attend the school’s homecoming game, Riverdale High School brought the celebration to her with a heartwarming performance from the football team, cheerleaders, and band, outside Golisano Children's Hospital. The students proudly wore t-shirts featuring her design, and the school principal and coach personally presented her with one, along with their heartfelt support for both her and her family. We are deeply grateful for this incredible show of community support and for the opportunity to celebrate the strength and creativity of young heroes like Marison. 💖👕 #ChildhoodCancerAwareness #GolisanoChildrens #CommunitySupport
