GoodRx supports all Americans with their healthcare challenges. Since 2011, we’ve helped Americans save over $35 billion on prescriptions via savings cards, our website, and the GoodRx app, which is one of the most downloaded medical apps on both the Google Play and Apple App Store. We’re a customer-first company. That means making sure all our products and features are built around you. This approach guides how we operate, make decisions across our businesses, and work on new ideas for our customers. In 2021, an estimated 46 million U.S. adults were not able to afford needed care. We’re working to narrow this access gap. We have saved Americans over $30 billion on their medications.

In my latest byline for Fast Company, I dive further into the gender disparities in healthcare and where we can go from here to support all women through their healthcare journeys. Check out the full article: For far too long, women’s health topics like menstrual health, fertility and menopause weren’t widely discussed—even within the healthcare field. Today, what was once taboo is now trending thanks to the efforts of advocates and entrepreneurs taking matters into their own hands to create a more equitable system. But this work is far from over. So how can you help? 🔹 Educate yourself and others on the conditions women manage and available resources to support women at every life stage. 🔹 Meet with your employee benefits / HR representatives to advocate for comprehensive insurance coverage for women’s health needs, like endometriosis, fertility or menopause. 🔹 Check out savings resources, like GoodRx, to find affordability options for medications and treatments that your insurance may not cover. 🔹 Use your voice - share stories, data, and facts on social media and in conversations to keep the topic trending. https://lnkd.in/eJDZU8kd

Pressures on the healthcare system are making care more expensive and less accessible for Americans. Inflation, staffing shortages, the complex insurance landscape, and many other factors are adding friction to an already overburdened industry. It’s a precarious situation in need of a workable solution. Today, GoodRx released our latest findings on one piece of the puzzle: the growing challenge of pharmacy deserts. One in seven Americans now lives without easy, convenient access to a pharmacy, making it more difficult to fill prescriptions, get vaccines, or manage chronic conditions. But pharmacies aren’t the only healthcare desert we’re grappling with. Across the system, there are fewer OB-GYNs, cardiologists, trauma care centers, primary care physicians – and the list goes on. To reverse this healthcare access crisis, industry leaders – including GoodRx – need to innovate to keep care in reach. Some of the steps we’re taking include working with retail partners to support home delivery, developing an ecommerce offering to improve the prescription experience for consumers, working with pharma on cash pay programs to make brand drugs more accessible, and integrating further into the pharmacy benefit ecosystem to deliver deeper savings for consumers. These efforts, along with greater cross-industry collaboration, can help ensure all Americans—regardless of where they live—are able to access the care they need and deserve. GoodRx Helps is thrilled to announce Frieda Bequeaith as our next recipient of the Students for Healthcare Equity Scholarship. Frieda’s journey into reproductive health was sparked by a pivotal summer spent shadowing a midwife. Reflecting on that experience, Frieda shared, “Seeing how she connected with and supported her patients during those really crucial moments of fear and anxiety and joy and transition, it was what really inspired me to apply to midwifery school.” 2025 scholarship applications will be accepted starting in the spring. Divya Iyer, GoodRx’s SVP of Go-to-Market Strategy, recently wrote a guest post for the influential Drug Channels blog. She noted that each year pharmaceutical manufacturers invest billions of dollars in patient support programs (PSPs)—sometimes delivered using a hub model—designed to assist patients throughout their treatment journey. Despite this huge annual investment, there’s a common problem facing brands: most eligible patients have little to no awareness of the existence of these valuable services and therefore don’t use them. A 2021 study showed that roughly 3% of patients actively used manufacturer-provided PSPs available to them, and GoodRx research in 2024 showed that only 7% of the U.S. population used a manufacturer’s savings card or PSP. Read Divya’s post that includes some innovative solutions to increase patient awareness of and engagement with these programs: https://lnkd.in/egs7yzMz

#ad As a public health scientist and mom to a young daughter, I'm deeply concerned about the "pink tax" in healthcare—where women pay more for medications simply because they're marketed to women. From helping my mom navigate Medicare to thinking about my daughter's future, I see how this affects multiple generations. @GoodRx for Healthcare Professionals provides a simple solution for HCPs to help their female patients find affordable medication options. The platform makes it easy to compare prices across brand/generic medications and share savings options privately. Visit https://lnkd.in/ekYManaY to learn more and help your patients overcome the pink tax. #GoodRxforHCPs

The "pink tax" is traditionally defined as the practice of charging women more than men for identical goods and services. But the latest report from GoodRx Research found that this extends to healthcare spending for women as well. Women visit doctors more often, fill more prescriptions, and manage more chronic conditions — leading to higher total out-of-pocket costs across the board. See which areas women spend more in and why: #prescriptions #healthcarecosts #pinktax
