Visual art at the center of interdisciplinary collaboration: that’s the core driver of the new Windgate Hall of Art and Innovation. Goody Clancy and WER Architects/Planners are collaborating to design this new hub for creativity and discovery on the Arkansas State campus. At the groundbreaking ceremony in September, Goody Clancy principal and Jonesboro native Kip Ellis recalled how the A-State architecture inspired his career: “It is thrilling to be part of realizing a new building on this beautiful campus—one that aims to inspire a new generation of students to pursue creative passions across disciplines. “ Learn more about the project on our website: https://lnkd.in/emRKrEY3 Congratulations to Arkansas State University and the rest of our team on reaching this important project milestone! INTRODUCING… Bob Broth, our 2024 Canstruction sculpture name (inspired by the happy trees icon himself, the legendary Bob Ross)! We are thrilled to participate in the Canstruction Boston competition organized by SMPS Boston and hosted by the Boston Society for Architecture. After the event, the sculptures are dismantled, and all cans and donations are given to the Merrimack Valley Food Bank to help those in need. It was a bittersweet farewell as we said goodbye to our rock-star PIC interns, Amya and Raniya! This is the eighth summer that Goody Clancy has partnered with the Boston PIC (Private Industry Council) to employ students from Boston public high schools. Through this program, our student interns strengthen their design skills and engaging with real-life project work, and our team members take on mentorship roles that allow them to “learn through teaching.” A special thank you to An Hoang, Jackey Robinson, and Nina Huttemann for leading this year’s program. And hearty congratulations to Amya and Raniya, who are starting their freshman years of college at Harvard and Wentworth. We wish them the best of luck as they take this next step in their education.

🎉 Exciting news from Dartmouth College! The Arthur L. Irving Institute for Energy and Society building has achieved LEED Platinum certification, the highest recognition for sustainable building design from the U.S. Green Building Council. The 55,000-square-foot Irving Institute building, which opened in 2022, is a standout in sustainable architecture. It features a natural ventilation system that circulates fresh air throughout the facility, and more than 90% of its work areas enjoy natural daylight. Other eco-friendly highlights include rooftop solar panels, radiant heating and cooling, and triple-glazed windows. Designed by Goody Clancy, the building earned a perfect score in the "energy and atmosphere" category — a testament to Dartmouth's commitment to sustainability and energy efficiency. This building is a key part of Dartmouth's broader efforts to decarbonize the campus and reduce carbon emissions by 60% by 2030 and 100% by 2050. 🌍 #Sustainability #LEEDPlatinum #EnergyEfficiency #Dartmouth #Climate #CampusDecarbonization

At Harvard Business School, the case study method of instruction is a fundamental component of student education, emphasizing a thoughtful and egalitarian exchange of ideas between students and faculty and real-time creative problem-solving. Our design of the new Live Online classrooms at Cumnock Hall brings the case study method to a global stage, enabling participants to connect and learn from anywhere in the world. "You can focus fully on engaging the participants in a case discussion as you would in any on-campus classroom, but with participants joining from around the world." – Joshua Margolis, James Dinan and Elizabeth Miller Professor of Business Administration, Harvard Business School Learn more about how Cumnock Hall is blending technology with tradition to shape the future of learning: https://lnkd.in/gQaz6duk #architecture #design #renovation #harvard #business #businessschool #businesseducation #virtuallearning #remotelearning #technology #innovation
