Last night, I had the honor of leading one of our Grapevine meetings, where—each quarter—we award a local nonprofit with unrestricted funds to support their mission. If you’re anything like me, life is BUSY. That’s why being part of a giving circle is pure magic🪄 It lets you make a real difference even if you don’t have extra time. (I like to call it lazy volunteering 😂) Last night was extra special and deeply personal. We had the opportunity to give in honor of my late friend, Kelli Despain. She passed away just two months ago from stage 4 metastatic breast cancer, but her legacy lives on. Kelli was a huge supporter of our giving circle, generously donating her Bottega Exchange space for two years, 10 meetings, and helping us award over $60K to local nonprofits. Since day one, she said YES to supporting us—offering her venue & hosting our meetings So this quarter, in her honor, we nominated her favorite nonprofits—and last night, we awarded Las Vegas Breast Cancer Warriors with $4,325. Even more special? Her husband, Jared Despain, was there to witness the donation and share a bit of Kelli with us. I feel SO grateful to be part of a giving circle, and it feels damn good to give! If you’ve been looking for a way to give back without adding more to your plate, this is it! Donations start at $100 per quarter ( that is $33ish per month!), and we’re looking for 10 new members who want to donate quarterly, attend one event a quarter , and some networking events monthly. (Win-win, right?) You can join right in this link or reach out to me with any questions you may have https://lnkd.in/gM2fW38t Jennifer Inaba Nicole Fabian, CPA, MBA Amanda Sprick Bottega Exchange Jared Despain Heather Maxey

Last year I joined Chicago Professional Women for Good through Grapevine and it's been a wonderful experience so far! Through this group, we come together at least once every quarter to network, learn about local nonprofits, vote on which ones we want to support, and then donate. It's a really inspiring way to meet like-minded people and make a real impact by giving together. If you're interested in joining, send me a message! We're in the middle of a giving cycle right now and we're about to vote on the next local charity we'd like to support. I'd love to see you there.
