The Port of Cleveland will receive $94.2M from the EPA to fund electric cargo equipment, solar power, battery storage, and charging infrastructure. The upgrades, backed by the Inflation Reduction Act, aim to reduce diesel pollution and support sustainable port operations. We applaud the Port’s leadership to become the greenest port on the Great Lakes, a competitive advantage that will attract more companies striving to reduce their environmental footprints. In addition, it supports our region’s clean air efforts and are especially important given the Port’s adjacency to our downtown lakefront and riverfront transformations. Thank you to our federal delegation and State of Ohio for supporting this award.
