  • 🇪🇺 At the European Parliament, where the future of Europe and sustainability is being shaped. A future that, despite external pressures and current challenges, remains full of promise. At the conference "𝐒𝐢𝐦𝐩𝐥𝐢𝐟𝐲𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐂𝐒𝐑𝐃 - 𝐚𝐧 𝐨𝐩𝐞𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐚𝐥 𝐩𝐞𝐫𝐬𝐩𝐞𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐯𝐞", committed leaders demonstrated with solid data that the CSRD works: it generates transparency, strengthens social and environmental impact, and serves as a true innovation driver for businesses. In fact, 80% of French companies surveyed are satisfied with the results they’ve achieved through the CSRD. These figures are not insignificant – they show that an ambitious Europe, staying true to its commitments, can not only meet environmental challenges but also unlock new opportunities for businesses. The CSRD is a driver for innovation and the economy of tomorrow. In Brussels, we reaffirmed with conviction that a strong and responsible Europe is possible. We are proud to be part of a movement that is working towards a sustainable and inclusive future. We would like to extend our sincere thanks to all the speakers for their valuable contributions: Pascal Canfin (Member of the European Parliament), Philippe Zaouati (Mirova), Markus Adler (Code Gaia), Alexis Normand (Greenly | Certified B Corp), Linda Schmalbrock (LEA Partners), Elodie Le Breton (GA Smart Building), Dr. Nadine Hagemus-Becker (Schauenburg Systems), Alexia Delahousse (Qonto), Doly Emmanuelle Betmi (MONIN), Ludovic Flandin (R3 and Coordinator of #WeAreEurope), Leonie Hunkert (Deutsche Reihenhaus AG), Marcel Kanthak (Wildboer Bauteile), and Helena Charrier (Vice-President FIR and Eurosif - The European Sustainable Investment Forum board member) #WeAreEurope 🇪🇺 📺 For those who want to revisit the event and the insightful interventions, here's the link to the YouTube replay: https://lnkd.in/gZyaMQaJ 🌐 The website : https://lnkd.in/giZxGcB5

What if democracy could make sustainability cheaper, faster, and smarter? Today at the European Parliament, we saw democracy in action, bringing together a pan-european coalition of investors, tech companies and business leaders - a voice of reason amidst the sound and fury of the ESG backlash imported from across the Atlantic Alongside MEPs Stine Bosse & Pascal Canfin the #WeAreEurope collective and 50+ changemakers from Germany, Belgium, France or Denmark, sent a clear message: 👉Don’t freeze the CSRD. Fix it. As Brussels debates the #Omnibus proposal, we came armed with facts from the field and one goal in mind: It’s possible to slash compliance costs by 80% without losing climate ambition. Because sustainability can’t scale if it’s a luxury. Here’s what we heard from those rolling out CSRD: 📌CSRD is already replacing dozens of private ESG reportings taken thousands of hours, sent by banks, investors, big corporate customers etc, all unified into a single framework taking a tenth of the time : don’t delete the existing simplification that comes from standardization ⚖️ Keep the CSRD timeline for big players—including so called « wave 2 » companies for whom the clock would be stopped ; 80% are ready - but ease audit demands during rollout ❌ Scrap mandatory audits for SMEs & mid-sized firms—where the extra verification adds 80% of costs - transparency adds its own discipline 🖥️ Use certified software for assurance—if it works for finance, it works for ESG - AI for data ingestion and report exports is already slashing costs to focus on real resiliency work. 🌍 Include Scope 3 in the proposed Voluntary Small and -Mid Enterprise (VSME) to avoid greenwashing - + SMEs are already doing it without breaking the bank - typical roll-out is less than 5-10k and less than 50hours 📊 Focus reports on what really matters—via sector-based materiality guides that substract non-relevant ESRS for specific sectors, rather than adding requirements - this can simplify CSRD for large companies beyond the Omnibus proposal 💶 Incentivize voluntary SME disclosures—with better capital access & rates This isn’t deregulation. It’s smarter regulation—designed to boost resilience, competitiveness, and climate leadership. We heard investors say they were asking for this data anyway - they need a single standard to ease the burden and let companies give their side of the story Huge thanks to the incredible coalition that showed up! Philippe Zaouati and Anne Le More from Mirova, Linda Schmalbrock from Lea Partners,Alexia Delahousse from Qonto, Markus Adler from Code Gaia, to Elodie Le Breton GA Smart Building, Doly Emmanuelle Betmi from Monin, Marcel Kanthak from Wildboer Bauteile, Schauenburg, Helena Charrier from FIR and Ludovic Flandin Europe can’t afford red tape that slows the green transition. It needs smart data to lead on climate change #CSRD Aurore Lalucq Jörgen Warborn Manfred Weber François-Xavier Bellamy Axel Voss Christian Ehler
