That is why Griffin Catalyst supports the Learning Engineering Tools Competition and its mission of driving edtech #innovation and accelerating learning recovery. Literably, one of the 2021-22 competition’s winners, is making progress toward this goal with their Platform for Actionable Reading Assessment (PARA). PARA leverages technology to deliver fast, accurate, and actionable reading assessments to supercharge teachers’ expertise. Now used in the Cupertino Union School District, PARA helps educators provide personalized student recommendations and enables researchers to measure the efficacy of reading interventions.     The newly renovated Henry Crown Space Center at the Griffin Museum of Science and Industry is welcoming visitors from all over the world to explore the latest in space exploration.     Griffin Catalyst congratulates the five research teams recently awarded grants from The Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson's Research to support the development of better tools to detect, measure, and track the progression of Parkinson’s disease through biological markers. Among the research teams receiving funding is Merck, one of the winners of the Ken Griffin Alpha-synuclein Imaging Competition. Launched in 2019 with MJFF, the competition meaningfully advanced methods for visualizing the alpha-synuclein protein, the signature misfolded protein in Parkinson’s disease, in the brain. This important breakthrough provided the foundation for MJFF’s latest efforts to push the boundaries of Parkinson’s research and drive towards promising new breakthroughs.
