A meaningful night for the tech and VC community.
Last night was not your typical tech event. Over 200 people gathered to take a break from the usual pitch and networking to dive into an experience that left us all impacted. Group 11 alongside Upfront Ventures, hosted an evening at the Nova Exhibition that felt both powerful and necessary. This evening was a chance for the tech and VC community to explore an immersive installation reflecting on the tragic events of October 7th at the Nova Music Festival. The exhibit took us beyond headlines to something visceral—an experience that honored the lives lost while capturing the festival’s spirit of peace and unity. The evening included a screening of Jonathan York’s documentary, Al Tira: Diary from a Nation at War, which captures raw, intimate glimpses of daily life in Israel post-Oct 7. Jonathan’s film gave us an unfiltered look at the resilience and humanity that emerge even in the darkest moments. A last-minute addition to the program brought an even deeper impact: the bereaved father of Aviv Eliyahu, one of those murdered at the festival, shared his story. Shlomi Ziv, the hostage rescued alongside Noa Argamani in Operation Arnon, also joined us to recount his experience. A huge thank you to Dovi Frances, Mark Suster and Yair Riemer for their support, helping bring together our community in such a meaningful way. To everyone who joined: thank you for leaning into this experience and opening up to these important stories.
