    Energy management is a leader’s secret weapon.⚡ As a leader, I’ve realized that managing energy is even more important than managing time. Time is finite, but energy can be renewed. It’s the conversations, the people, and the projects that energize you and help drive progress. But when we talk about energy, it’s important to recognize that it’s not just one-dimensional. Here are four key types of energy I focus on to keep moving forward: 1. Physical energy: This is all about managing the body’s energy. Proper rest, nutrition, exercise, and recovery are essential for keeping performance and productivity high. I try to optimize first for sleep. 2. Emotional energy: How we feel plays a huge role in how we lead. Cultivating positive emotions and managing negative ones is key to staying motivated, resilient, and engaged. Surrounding yourself with people and projects that lift you up makes a massive difference. 3. Mental energy: This is about maintaining focus and mental clarity. When you have mental flexibility and a sharp focus, decision-making and problem-solving become a lot smoother. Structuring your day around tasks that require deep focus can elevate your productivity. 4. Spiritual energy: Aligning your actions with your personal values and purpose brings a deeper motivation to both work and life. When your work feels meaningful, it fuels you in a way that’s hard to replicate. I try to structure my week around the moments and interactions that energize me in these ways — whether it’s brainstorming with the team, solving customer challenges, or mentoring. A tough afternoon can quickly become productive when you tap into the right energy. What energizes you as a leader?
