The HAQAA3 Implementing Team, in partnership with SARUA - Southern African Regional Universities Association, the Commission for Higher Education of #Mauritius, and SADC Secretariat organized three key events: 1. A regional workshop promoting an African Credit Transfer System (ACTS). 2. A consultation on establishing a Pan-African Quality Assurance Agency. 3. A regional meeting of the SADC Education Management Information System (EMIS). Participants from 13 African countries discussed key topics such as regional harmonization in higher education, aligning quality assurance systems, and the implications for micro-credentials and student mobility. 📌 The HAQAA3 Initiative presented at the Youth Mobility for Africa event organized by the European Commission at the University of Botswana (UB)

Yaoundé, Cameroun, 16.05.2024 – Réunion consultation HAQAA3 – PAQAA 📣 L’AIFS, qui représente l’ Agence Universitaire de la Francophonie au Comité de pilotage des partenaires stratégiques de l’Initiative HAQAA3 (Harmonisation de l’Enseignement supérieur, assurance qualité et accréditation en Afrique), a participé à la première réunion de consultation régionale sur les mécanismes de gouvernance de la future agence panafricaine d’assurance qualité (PAQAA) à Yaoundé le 16.05.24. L’AIFS y était représentée par le Directeur du Pôle Gouvernance, M. Bernard Zuppinger. Ces consultations régionales ( 4️⃣ au total) impliquent les autorités nationales et les agences nationales d'assurance qualité du continent africain, ainsi que les acteurs et les partenaires clés de l’enseignement supérieur et de l’assurance qualité. Les échanges ont permis : ✔ d’examiner les recommandations antérieures d’HAQAA2 sur une approche en quatre étapes pour la création de cette agence continentale, son objectif, ses fonctions ; ✔ d’obtenir un consensus au niveau des participants sur la future structure de gouvernance de l’agence ; ✔ d’examiner et confirmer le plan de travail d’HAQAA3 sur ce volet de l’initiative. 📈 La création de l’agence panafricaine est un projet phare de l’ Union africaine (African Union) et l’une des lignes d’action d’HAQAA3 qui se déploie dans le cadre du programme « Global Gateway Africa-Europe » de la Commission européenne. Elle sera chargée de promouvoir des normes de qualité communes à l’échelle du continent ainsi que de renforcer les systèmes nationaux d'assurance qualité. 🔴 Plus d’informations sur cette réunion sur le site HAQAA3 : https://lnkd.in/emjxVKeG 🔁 Cet évènement se tenait en synergie avec une réunion du projet Erasmus+ JointQA (14 et 15.05.24) qui a porté sur le modèle conjoint d’évaluation institutionnelle et de programmes proposé aux parties prenantes par ce projet dont l’AUF est partenaire et membre du comité de pilotage. JointQA, coordonné par le CAMES et OBREAL, implique des universités et les autorités en charge de l’assurance qualité du Burkina Faso, du Cameroun et de Côte d’Ivoire, ainsi que l’AEQES et des universités européennes partenaires.
