Recently, Harkins joined McCormack Baron Companies, Hord Coplan Macht, and other project partners to celebrate the grand opening of Perkins Square Phase II (formerly Perkins Homes Phase II), with a ribbon cutting ceremony in Baltimore, MD.   We are proud to officially add 128 apartments and 28 townhome units across two building blocks in the Perkins community. Residents will have access to outdoor amenities, including a courtyard for social gatherings, a playground, and on-site parking. Harkins is excited to have played a role in the second phase of this project, offering diverse housing choices that support the Perkins, Somerset, and Oldtown (PSO) Choice Neighborhood Transformation. Day in the Boots of a Senior Project Controls Engineer Meet Mike Lynn, a senior project controls engineer here at Harkins! Since joining in 2022, Mike has been a key player in our scheduling department, collaborating across various project teams. From initial conceptual schedules to detailed baseline creation, updates, and delay analysis, Mike plays a vital role in every phase of our project planning. Recently, Harkins employee-owners and their families gathered at Smokey Glen Farm Barbequers in Gaithersburg, MD, for our Annual Company Picnic! The event was a fun-filled day with plenty of delicious BBQ, face painting, mini golf, a bounce house, cornhole, playground activities, a cotton candy station, and the all-time favorite money wheel. We also held an awards ceremony to recognize some outstanding achievements. During the picnic, we honored employee-owners celebrating major career milestones with service awards. In addition, our Ad Hoc Committee presented two special awards, both nominated entirely by fellow employee-owners. Employee Development Manager Bonnie Cronin was presented the Blase Cooke Award, and Preconstruction Manager Adam Healey was presented the Thomas P.
