For your disability inclusion and accessibility objectives | Making the invisible, visible
About us
When you need additional support or a little more time Not all disabilities are visible – some are not immediately obvious, such as autism, dementia, anxiety, visual or hearing impairment. People with visual or hearing disabilities do not always wear glasses or hearing aids. Those with joint problems or chronic pain may not always use mobility aids. Although the hidden disability can make daily living more challenging for many people, it can be difficult for others to recognise or acknowledge. Others may not understand the cause of the problem, if they cannot see evidence of it in a visible way. The Sunflower Lanyard makes you visible If you have hidden disabilities and require assistance, wearing the green Hidden Disabilities Sunflower Lanyard indicates that you need additional support or just a little more time. Our Sunflower Lanyard has been purposefully designed to acts as a discreet sign to staff and work colleagues that the wearer has a hidden disability and requires additional assistance.
