Even though I was a little under the weather, it was a blast being part of a panel discussion today on the healthcare startup ecosystem in North Texas. Honored to have joined Jovelyn Castellanos, MHA Brad Phelan, MBA Lili Clark who are all doing such amazing work for the ecosystem. Now is such a great time for entrepreneurs in this industry with accelerator programs like Techstars Physical Health Fort Worth Accelerator , MassChallenge , and Health Wildcatters helping create that much needed support system. The future of healthcare in Dallas/Fort Worth is exceptionally bright.
Dallas Startup Week Day 2 - Healthcare Track🏥 Day 2 of Dallas Startup Week sponsored by Capital One was packed with valuable insights during our Healthcare Track, featuring three engaging panels led by Health Wildcatters. We kicked off the morning with the Early Stage Capital: Where to Find your First Dollars for your Healthcare Startup panel, moderated by Hubert Zajicek, MD, MBA. Attendees gained valuable advice from a distinguished group of investors and entrepreneurs, including David Callecod (Callecod Advisory Group, LLC), Jonathan Northrup (Stingray Therapeutics), and Daniel Dow, M.D. (Healthcare Shares). Next, we explored the Dallas Healthcare Startup Ecosystem in a session moderated by Jovelyn Castellanos, MHA, featuring Leon J. (The University of Texas at Dallas), Lili Clark (Lyda Hill Philanthropies), and Brad Phelan, MBA (UT Southwestern Medical Center). This panel provided an in-depth look at the local landscape of healthcare innovation, Pegasus Park, and the future of the healthcare in North Texas.
