Knowing this massive problem, there is obsessive reliance on medical imaging to support evidence based clinical diagnosis. About 70% of clinical diagnoses leverage medical imaging to guide an effective treatment plan. This has led to significant demand for medical imaging procedures, putting Radiologists around the world at the risk of burnout and creating bottleneck. This burnout problem continues to grow due to increased administrative overload and abysmal radiologists to population ratio around the world, far lower than benchmark (100 Rads per 1M population) cited by American College of Radiology (ACR) and the European Society of Radiology (ESR). 🛳 Recognizing the impact this has on both radiologists and patient outcomes, the FLUTE team saw an opportunity for change. They believe that Generative AI can greatly boost radiologist productivity, reduce their administrative burden, and improve access to timely diagnoses and better treatment plans.
