Welcome Mick Story to the board of Higher Software. With a dynamic career spanning over two decades, Mick is a seasoned corporate development executive and attorney known for his expertise in corporate law, mergers and acquisitions, and strategic planning. Currently serving as the Chief Counsel at Halcyon Still Water, LLC, in Red Bank, NJ, he provides strategic legal advice, oversees compliance, and supports risk management while strategically developing the optimal corporate structure for the firm in anticipation of its exit. Mick is passionate about leading teams, creating shareholder value, and advancing corporate strategies, consistently delivering on strategic initiatives that drive growth and diversification. During his tenure at Jackson Financial, Inc. (NYSE: JXN) from 2007 to 2023, Mick held various senior roles, including Vice President of Business Management & Corporate Development, and Corporate Strategy. He was instrumental in managing Jackson’s business strategy, overseeing initiatives, and leading the execution of numerous strategic transactions valued up to $1.5 billion. His leadership and expertise were critical in the successful assessment, valuation, negotiation, and integration of acquisitions and divestitures, ensuring alignment with the company's business vision. Before joining Jackson National Life Insurance Company, Mick honed his legal skills as Senior Counsel at Beckman Lawson, LLP, where he focused on general corporate law, litigation, private equity, commercial finance, and intellectual property. We're excited to announce Tom Knapp has joined the board of Higher Software. Tom Knapp is the former Chief Information Officer at Waterstone Mortgage Corporation. His consulting company, Digital Farming, LLC, provides technology and operations consulting services to the financial services and fintech markets. He is a member of the Advisory Board at Freshriver.ai and leads their Artificial Intelligence Transformers Leadership Council.  In his role at Freshriver.ai, he supports the evaluation, design and implementation of AI-driven business solutions for the Financial Services sector with a specific emphasis on mortgage lending. In addition to his role at Freshriver, Tom is on the Advisory Board at WikiRealty/Steadworth which provides an innovative funding option to assist in the down payment funding for creditworthy borrowers.  Tom is passionate about the ethical application of AI to support enhanced business outcomes, the digital sourcing of data, and data-enabled analytics and management systems.
