Congratulations to our client Measures for Justice (MFJ) for hosting a hugely informative screening of their Webby-nominated documentary series "Let's Be Clear" last week in Selma, Alabama. This powerful series highlights the crucial connection between criminal justice data and people's lives. Through 12 captivating stories, we are reminded that data isn’t abstract; it represents real lives and real experiences. The screening took place at the George Corley Wallace State Community College - Earl Goodwin Theatre in Selma and was followed by an engaging panel discussion and Q&A session. Congratulations to our client, the Savannah Tree Foundation, on the success of their 3rd Annual Green Gala! Held amidst Savannah's iconic urban forest, the sold-out event was a true celebration of sustainability and community spirit. The gala raised funds to support the organization's important work protecting Savannah's beloved canopy and increasing access to the benefits of trees. HL Strategy consultants Howard Lalli, Sherry Crawley and Lakeshia Poole (pictured left to right in the accompanying photo) made the drive down from Atlanta to attend the gala. Special congratulations are in order for Audrey Platt, the 2024 Tree Champion, whose dedication to environmental stewardship has shined brightly over the years and decades of her work in this area. Guests were treated to an eco-friendly experience, complete with refreshing cocktails, a sumptuous four-course dinner sourced sustainably, live music, and an engaging silent auction—all in support of our client's noble mission.
