Our Houston Regional Sales Office was proud to sponsor and attend an inaugural blood drive hosted by one of our national producer partners. The collective efforts raised $12,335 for MD Anderson Cancer Research, and the lifechanging blood donations will help 143 cancer patients. The event showcased the power of community and the incredible impact we can make when we come together.

Meet Kaylin Biri, FLMI, director, Underwriting. “I appreciate the challenges of underwriting Stop Loss. As a director, my job is to problem-solve and help connect the dots for my team. Underwriting Stop Loss requires the ability to think and conceptualize using information that may not always be complete or perfect. Underwriting is not black or white, so if you’re interested in becoming an underwriter, you must be comfortable making decisions in the grey. As underwriters, it is our job to assemble the pieces of the puzzle and form a story – a story that can vary greatly from group to group and year to year.” Kaylin Biri leads the development, execution and monitoring of Stop Loss pricing and related strategies for HM’s business in the Atlanta, Charlotte, Dallas, Des Moines, Houston and Washington, D.C., sales territories, as well as business tied to one of HM’s national producer partners.
