Last week, a groundbreaking event kicked off the second phase of a $136 million Clark Building revitalization project at Colorado State University. Scheduled for completion in late 2027, the new structure will give Clark an extra 90,000 square feet of space for new offices, classrooms and support spaces. It will also dramatically improve the building’s flow by connecting the first and second floors. With this new structure, Clark will become a transformational building, featuring cutting-edge spaces and technology for student learning, including a Student Success Center and flexible spaces designed to encourage students and employees to gather and collaborate.

If you are in the Richmond area, join healthcare design expert Jamie Norwood for a panel discussing inclusive care environments. Designing and developing safe spaces for behavioral health and psychiatric safety is an increasing need in today's healthcare environments; join us to discover strategies, programs, and examples!
🎉 Join us for an AMFP Virginia Panel Discussion 🎊 📅 Date: Thursday, November 7, 2024 🕓 Time: 9:00 AM - 11:15 AM 📍 Location: 👥 Who's Invited: All professionals involved in the healthcare built environment 🆓 Cost: FREE for members, $20 for non-members ✨ Program Details: With an increasing incidence rate of diagnosed cases of autism, neuro-complexity, and other behavioral and mental health concerns, facilities are having to adapt and respond to a new frontier of space making. Looking across the Commonwealth of Virginia, there are several programs that have been envisioning a future with more inclusive care environments that increase access to care, develop safe spaces, and address the ever-growing list of diagnosis and conditions that facilities are working to address. From clinics focused on Developmental Behavioral Health Needs to overall environments focused on psychiatric safety, the panel will dive into current issues facing facilities, design strategies to harden and make safe existing spaces, and new programs, and physical examples that are helping to advance safe and effective environments for treatment and healing.
