Our very own Weiser Go-Givers are thrilled to share the incredible success of the Weiser Splash Pad Project’s color run event! With over 80 runners from Boise, Caldwell, Fruitland, Payette, Nampa, New Plymouth, and Weiser, our community came together in a big way. Thanks to everyone who bought shirts and tickets and donated; this event raised an astounding $3,500! This brings us closer to making the Splash Pad Park a reality. Horizon Go-Givers just wrapped up not one, but TWO thrilling days of community service with Mark Peterson's #ExtremeTeam! Today, we rolled up our sleeves and dove into cleaning and renovating Washington State Veterans Cemetery in Medical Lake. We got our hands dirty replanting and planting new greenery, laying down weed fabric, and adding river rock around the fresh grasses and bushes. We created a long, lush area to give families a peaceful backdrop as they honor their loved ones. We didn't stop there! We also added new plantings along the concrete sidewalk where ashes are spread, ensuring those in walkers and wheelchairs can join in saying goodbye. It was an honor and a privilege to help make these spaces more beautiful and accessible. Huge thanks to everyone who pitched in to make this happen! On Monday, Horizon Credit Union had the incredible opportunity to support Camp Rainbow Gold at the 12th Annual Give Back Golf Tournament, presented by IREM, NARPM, and IAA. All proceeds from this tournament benefited Camp Rainbow Gold and their mission to help Idaho children diagnosed with cancer and their families. They do amazing work giving these families the quality time and resources they need to let kids be kids.
