We are fighting for a world without forced labor. Join us.
About us
We are a bridge to justice for trafficking survivors, both in the United States and around the world. We focus on strategic litigation to halt human trafficking and forced labor around the globe. Our network of pro bono attorneys provide survivors with free legal representation. Together, we work to hold traffickers accountable for their crimes through civil litigation and criminal prosecution. The Human Trafficking Legal Center gains compensation for survivors so that they can reclaim their lives. We are a nonprofit organization, monitoring the federal government and working to improve federal policy to benefit trafficking survivors.

Thank you to our pro bono partners! Pro bono lawyers change lives. Every day, we serve #traffickingsurvivors who have won civil cases, obtained criminal restitution, and won immigration relief with the support of pro bono counsel. With legal representation, #survivors can thrive.

#Traffickingsurvivors rely on T Visas to rebuild their lives. But USCIS is failing to adjudicate T visa applications quickly. The processing time for applications is now 18 months. This delay leaves #survivors in immigration limbo. #SurvivorsCannotWait https://lnkd.in/g6fumJ2

The Human Trafficking Legal Center Advocacy & Survivor Leadership Director Evelyn Chumbow joined advocates from around the globe at the Survivor Alliance World Congress in Kenya. She led a discussion on policy advocacy & the fight to shift the balance of power. #powerofthecollective

In our work with #traffickingsurvivors, we often see overlap between #domesticviolence & #humantrafficking. To identify remedies for #survivors, advocates must understand this intersection. October is #DomesticViolenceAwarenessMonth. Read our Fact Sheet: https://lnkd.in/e_Ff9EuB

"Together we can, but alone I can't" Day 1 of the World Congress The Power of the Collective kicked off with powerful discussions on collective power, the importance of recognizing everyone’s strengths, and how we can work together to support survivors across different contexts. From exploring intersectionality to sharing trauma-informed practices, we are building a stronger, united movement led by lived experience. This image is graphic documentation from our discussions on collective power, tools for survivor support, and the importance of recognizing everyone’s strengths in building collective movements. Did you attend the World Congress? What key lessons did you take from Day 1?
