On January 27th, Dr. Jennifer Heidmann (far right) joined Fourth District Supervisor Natalie Arroyo and other local medical leaders for a "community learning session on healthcare provider recruitment and retention in Humboldt County. Over several months, Supervisor Arroyo interviewed more than 40 local doctors, nurse practitioners and medical facility leaders to understand the challenges and opportunities in recruiting and retaining healthcare professionals in Humboldt. She presented her findings to event attendees and facilitated an informative panel discussion where local experts shared their insights, challenges and experiences." These monies will help provide minor home repairs and modifications to help older adults remain safe and healthy in their own homes.
