PROJECT HIGHLIGHT: Revitalizing Twin Falls City Hall ✨ Hummel worked with the City of Twin Falls to transform a vacant furniture store in the heart of downtown Twin Falls into a LEED Certified City Hall building. The three-story, 50,000 SF building was stripped down to the structure, creating opportunities for pedestrian interaction at ground level and natural light throughout. This pivotal project was central to the City’s downtown revitalization and enabled the centralization of many city services and departments.

One year has flown by since Aaron Petersen joined the Hummel team! As an accomplished Interior Designer, Aaron has seamlessly integrated into our team, delivering top-notch design services across a wide range of projects. Bringing his deep expertise in commercial design, he has been an invaluable addition to the work we do. But Aaron’s contributions don’t stop there. He’s also a leader and mentor, generously sharing his knowledge with our architectural and interior designers. We’re beyond grateful to have Aaron’s talents and collaborative spirit on our team! ✨

Happy one year Hummel-versary to Jacee! Jacee is a talented Architectural Designer who has already left her creative touch on multiple projects over the past year. She is most passionate about design development, idea creation, and tapping into creativity while working within constraints. She also enjoys collaborating with team members, being a part of the design crew, and getting involved with a variety of projects from graphics to architectural design. In her spare time, Jacee enjoys recreating in the outdoors, whether it's trail running, mountain biking, hiking, golfing, boating, or swimming. 🚲⛰💦 She also loves spending time with her husband and their German Wirehaired Pointer, Pepper. One of her bucket list dreams is to golf in Scotland! Jacee's favorite quote captures her approach to architectural design: "In the field of architecture, it's important to think beyond conventional boundaries and experiences." The building features state of the art research labs, one 250 seat lecture hall, two 80 person classrooms and a Student Power Center. At Hummel, we're passionate about designing modern academic environments that advance research and the learning experience.

Congratulations to Carrie for 5 years at Hummel! 🌟 As Hummel’s Marketing Director, Carrie is responsible for brand visibility, client engagement, and business growth through strategic marketing initiatives, project promotion, and relationship management. In her spare time she is a talented artist working in a variety of mediums like hand embroidery and textiles. As a volunteer docent for Preservation Idaho, she leads architectural walking tours in her spare time. Carrie recently realized Hummel Leadership’s generous vision by coordinating the donation of the Hummel Collection to the Idaho State Archives. She worked closely with the Archives staff and guided student interns throughout the process. “Hummel is an interesting and dynamic place to work, where everyone’s talents are not only recognized but truly appreciated by the entire team. When I joined Hummel five years ago, we were approaching our 125th anniversary. To help tell our story, I immersed myself in our projects and legacy, eager to understand and share our rich history. As we move into our next 125 years, it's exciting to see our team’s design work continue to shape Idaho’s built environment.”

Last week we joined the Boise community to celebrate the recently completed Boise Fire Station No. 5 located in Downtown Boise! There are so many exciting features about this new facility, including: 🚒 Modern Functionality As the busiest fire station in the Treasure Valley, functionality was paramount. The station is thoughtfully designed to maximize space and create a comfortable environment for firefighters. 🌱 Sustainability The new station follows the City of Boise Green Building Code by providing rooftop solar panels, an electric vehicle charging station, a permeable paver parking lot, and an efficient building envelope & building systems. ❤️ Honoring History The design integrates elements from the previous fire station, such as old hardwood flooring, brick, and a museum featuring historic fire memorabilia. It was an honor for our team to be a part of this project and we're thrilled to see it start serving our community!
