One of the things we love to do at Cushing Terrell is capture the voices of our team members and clients, giving them the opportunity to speak about their projects and what they mean to them and to our communities. For our College of Western Idaho client, our Cushing Terrell videographer Travis Estvold, working in partnership with CWI's videographer, Ross Hosking, captured the excitement of CWI's Nampa campus development when CWI leadership, faculty, staff, and students joined community members and project partners to celebrate during the bridge signing ceremony earlier this year, which marked the groundbreaking for the new projects. Also, a big thank you to Engineered Structures, Inc. (ESI) (also a project partner) and Lightbender Media for the drone footage! #CollegeofWesternIdaho #CWI #ProjectMilestone #CampusDevelopment

About us
Cushing Terrell was founded in 1938 by architects Ralph Cushing and Everett Terrell. Ralph and Everett acted on the belief that integrating architecture, engineering, and design opened the doors for deepened relationships and enhanced creativity: that belief was the beginning of our design practice and still defines us today. Driven by empathy, our multidisciplinary teams work together to design systems and spaces that help people live their best lives, achieve their visions, and enjoy healthy, sustainable built environments. Each year, we complete projects translating into $1 billion in construction costs. These projects include schools, hospitals and clinics; single- and multi-family residences; and recreational, commercial, retail, and industrial developments. Our services include architecture; mechanical, electrical, structural, civil, and environmental engineering; planning; landscape architecture; interior design; and many more. Hailing from 17 offices in seven states, our comprehensive approach and staff of 450+ professionals spanning 30 disciplines and seven markets enable Cushing Terrell to offer clients unrivaled partnerships, service, and value. With our passion to develop imaginative solutions and forever improve, this is where design meets you.

We're pleased to welcome featured artist Lorelle Rau to Gallery Cushing Terrell for First Thursday, October 3, at our office in downtown Boise, Idaho. Lorelle will be sharing her work during an exhibition titled: "Fragments & Forms, Grand Canyon & Joshua Tree." Lorelle's exhibition of mixed-media, collage works weaves together snippets of found paper and captured imagery to create graceful linear vistas and abstract scenes, where color, texture, and shape are coordinated with balanced intention. Guided by an intuitive process, she brings together these elements through the addition and extraction of forms, expertly integrating line and detail within the landscape. Several of these paper constructions are hand-stitched, symbolizing unity, repair, restoration, and reconnection. Architect and sustainability specialist, Kaitlin McCoy, is the next guest on our Good, Thoughtful Host podcast with this season's theme centered on inspiration. Kaitlin is inspired by systems, specifically "thinking and learning about the complex relationships in those systems," which can lead to elegant design solutions. "Nature-based systems and biomimicry are two areas I’m particularly drawn to because those systems are often cyclical and self supporting, which is really fascinating to me, especially from a sustainability perspective." Listen to Kaitlin's discussion with podcast host Sarah Steimer: https://hubs.li/Q02R1yHk0 #GoodThoughtfulHosts #Inspiration #BiophilicDesign #Biomimicry #SustainableDesign
