Today, the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations FAO is recognizing #WorldFoodDay and advocating for the “right to foods for a better life and better future”. 1 in 7 people in the Cleveland area are food insecure. We see harm caused by a lack of plentiful and nutritious food impacting the communities we love. 🍏 In preparation for MidTown Market’s September’s pre-packed bag food distribution, Tom Croft joined 7 of his staff members from Independence Excavating, Inc. and DiGeronimo Companies to volunteer. Our staff shared some organizational education with their group about our programs and #HungerActionMonth initiatives. 🛒 Their #volunteers sprang into action helping to pack bags of dry goods and kitchen staples for our neighbors. 🧡 Celebration is in order as September has wrapped up with incredible results from our #HungerActionMonth Matching Campaign! Thanks to our donors, we raised $31,878 in just 30 days. These contributions unlocked a total of $56,878 with our dollar for dollar match, allowing Hunger Network to better serve our vulnerable neighbors in Greater Cleveland. 🍏THANK YOU for helping Hunger Network feed our communities' futures.

Thanks to the generosity of our donors, we have raised $19,000 in three weeks while raising awareness for Hunger Action Month, a national call to action to end food insecurity. We need your help to close our gap to goal in the final days of September!
