The latest proposed cuts to SNAP could have devastating effects on families across Philadelphia, a city where 1 in 5 residents already face food insecurity. 📉 Reducing SNAP benefits doesn’t just mean empty pantries, it means higher healthcare costs, poorer health outcomes, and increased strain on community resources. Policies like these deepen health inequities and disproportionately affect children, seniors, and individuals with chronic conditions. As we continue our work in health equity, we urge policymakers, healthcare leaders, and community organizations to advocate for policies that prioritize food as medicine. #SDoH #HealthEquity #FoodSecurity #SNAP #PublicHealth https://lnkd.in/eZKPTPjw

A great piece detailing Philadelphia's Eviction Diversion Program, which has led to a 37% drop in eviction filings compared to pre-pandemic levels. This program has made the city one of the few where these filings have decreased and remained low. By fostering mediation between landlords and tenants, this program is keeping more people in their homes. Advocates are now pushing for more funding to expand its impact. #HousingMatters #EvictionDiversion #Philly https://lnkd.in/eN5CU6mJ
