IAH Terminal B Transformation

The entire #IAHTBT team would like to congratulate Houston Airport System on the grand opening of the new D West Pier at George Bush Intercontinental Airport #IAH. United will operate from gates D1 to D6. Notably, gates D2, D4 and D6 are reserved exclusively for United’s use for domestic and international destinations. This addition will significantly improve passenger flow and experience!

One of the exciting things our team enjoys is sharing the design of the #TerminalBTransformation through Virtual Reality. United Airlines Customer Service employees at #IAH recently experienced an immersive tour of the new terminal through the eyes of a passenger.... To celebrate Girls in Aviation day, the ladies of #IAHTBT recently got a behind the scenes tour of United Airlines' Hangar X, built in 2019. Hangar X is the largest United hangar in Houston. What a great experience for our ladies! Special thanks to Bill Gilbert, Senior Manager of Aircraft Maintenance at United and John Alvarez with JLA for being our tour guides!

Yesterday, Alton DuLaney of Houston Airport System led a tour showcasing the #PublicArt that was recently installed at IAH Terminal D West Pier. Today, Siemens Logistics and Brock Solutions are working hard on schedule integration for the baggage handling system for #IAHTerminalB. DID YOU KNOW? On any given day, the United Airlines baggage handling system (BHS) at IAH processes between 35,000 - 45,000 bags! 👜 ✈
