About us
The International Centre for Missing and Exploited Children (ICMEC) empowers and equips the global community to protect children from abduction, sexual abuse, and exploitation. Through high quality research, advocacy, education, and technical assistance, the International Centre addresses the need for cutting-edge solutions to these problems. Since its inception, ICMEC has trained over 16,000 law enforcement officers, prosecutors, and specialists around the world on how to handle child protection cases; helped 19 countries develop Rapid Emergency Child Alert Systems similar to AMBER Alert in the U.S; created a Global Missing Children's center comprised of 30 member countries on 5 continents; created a Global Health Coalition of 33 members, including 4 of the largest pharmaceutical companies in the world; and, since our Child Sexual Abuse Material: Model Legislation & Global Review was released in 2006, 150 countries have refined or implemented new anti-CSAM laws. Please join us in the fight to protect children around the world. Together, we can create a world worthy of its children. For more information, please visit www.icmec.org.
