Idaho Forest Group appreciates the support of Idaho Governor, Brad Little, who stated yesterday “Idaho is home to over 20 million acres of forest land that act as a huge driver of Idaho’s economy. This #nationalforestproductsweek I want to thank all our forest products businesses for their hard work & commitment to maintaining healthy forests here in Idaho!” We'd also like to thank the Governor-appointed commission members of the Idaho Forest Products Commission who reflect the milling, logging, transportation, and timber-managing segments of our industry and help ensure balanced and sustained timber, wildlife, recreation and scenic beauty for the welfare of our state’s citizens. #IdahoForestGroup #IFPC #AWC

As an operation that relies on technology and robotics, IFG is a proud supporter of the University of Idaho's Center for Intelligent Industrial Robotics. Earlier this year, IFG helped support four new FANUC collaborative robots (aka, Cobots) in the U of I robotics labs in Moscow and Coeur d'Alene, Idaho. IFG knows that by supporting Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math (STEM) education, we are better positioned to cultivate a skilled future workforce and drive efficiencies in manufacturing through innovation, advanced technologies, and problem-solving expertise. #govandals #STEM #WorkforceDevelopment

We are honored to help develop the careers of talented people, like Dylan, and are proud that our program has resulted in an increased retention rate in participants. Thank you to Forest Resources Association for allowing Dylan, Marie, and Tommy a platform to share IFG's successes as well as resources for others in our industry about creating a Registered Apprenticeship Program. Closing out #FRAFallMeeting24, we had a fantastic session with Marie Price and Tommy Groff of Idaho Forest Group, who shared insights on Registered #Apprenticeship as a Talent Development Strategy. A special surprise highlight was hearing from Dylan, a current apprentice, who gave us a personal look into his journey. Finally, Robert Gordon of the Western Caucus Foundation gave a thought-provoking presentation on the Endangered Species Act at 50 years. 🌲👏 #workforcedevelopment #TalentDevelopment #WorkforceTraining #ESA50 #Forestry

Idaho Forest Group’s operations rely on a complex system of online and digital platforms and we depend on our expert IT team to keep our organization protected from cybercriminals. October is National Cybersecurity Awareness Month and the theme ‘Secure Our World’ encourages all of us to take four easy steps each day to ensure online safety. Think before you click! Links in spam and phishing emails can allow scammers to access sensitive information, such as your location, device information, passwords, and credit card information. IFG is proud to support this critically important online safety awareness and education initiative. Through apprenticeship programs, we create a skilled workforce, boost local economies, and open doors to lifelong opportunities for individuals from diverse backgrounds. IFG Director of Training and Development, Marie Price, recently spoke about the hands-on experience and professional training IFG supports to help build rewarding careers in the forest products industry. “When someone is eager to learn, has a strong work ethic, can reason, and wants to grow with our company, we are willing to invest in that person, because we want to keep them, and we want them to grow with us.” Millwrights, industrial electricians, log truck drivers, and heavy-duty mechanics are in particularly high demand at IFG’s sawmills.
