Through our partnership with Bradford White Water Heaters, we were invited to tour their training facility and see their manufacturing plant in Middleville, Michigan. Providing top-quality products to our customers is a priority for us. During our tour, we got to see all the processes of creating a residential, natural gas water heater. From taking raw material and forming it into a tank, to seeing them use a combination of hand welds and automated processed to assemble their water heaters. We saw their quality assurance processes and understand what they're doing to ensure their water heaters perform properly and how they prevent their products from failures, such as leaks. We even talked one on one with some of their engineers, saw their research and development, and asked specific questions about their manufacturing processes that ensure they're building quality products that last. They shared their 5, 10, and 15 year plans to support our customers in the California market. By 2030, California will ban the sale of all new gas-fired water heaters. As gas water heaters are phased out, we'll be seeing more electric hybrid heat pump and electric tankless water heaters in our customer's homes. Thanks for hosting us Bradford White!

Plumbing, HVAC, and electrical work is often messy, and we strive to lessen the disruption to our customers by adding that “extra shine.” Thanks Jeff Toister for highlighting one of our customer-focused practices!
Customer service tip: Add some extra shine. It's a tactful way to call attention to your work. I learned this tip from Ideal Plumbing Heating Air Electrical. I've been a loyal customer for over 20 years and really admire their work. Ideal's plumbers, electricians, and HVAC technicians always clean up the area surrounding their repair work so it has a little extra shine. This small step creates a positive impression for three reasons. 1. Home repairs are often necessary because of a leak or some other mess, so this extra service saves their customers some effort. 2. Repair problems can be very stressful, so putting some extra shine helps the customer quickly feel better. 3. Cleaning up the area spotlights the technician's work, giving the customer the confidence that the repair was done correctly. You might not clean up messes as a part of your job, but you can still put some "extra shine" on the work you do. How do you put "extra shine" on your service? ✍️ Comment: Share your own example. ♻️ Share: encourage others to weigh in.

Thanks to PHCC San Diego for hosting an amazing evening to celebrate the 2024 graduates. Two of our technicians completed the PHCC 4-year Journeyman Plumbing Apprenticeship Program, and one completed their 2-year HVAC Service Technician Certification. We’re happy to support our employees through these programs, and celebrate their hard work and dedication in taking this next step in their careers. Great job! 👏

Putting on events like these take a lot of work, but nothing close to the work put in daily by all of the finalists and winners for Better Business Bureau Serving the Pacific Southwest's Torch Awards for Ethics. What a great day in San Diego celebrating 14 finalists and 5 winners that are doing their part to elevate ethics and integrity in the business community. Jodi Low delivered a great keynote talk, and all attendees received a copy of her book "From Me to U: Lessons on Life, Leadership, and Living Your Legacy". Co-Title Sponsor HomeStreet Bank's Dino D'Auria shared a great message as well. There were scholarships for students, and a surprise iPad for each of the 5 essay contest winners courtesy of Jennifer Barnes, MBA and Optima Office. Seeing the joy and pride on the faces of all of the finalists and winners reminds us why we do this. None of it possible without help from the Board, including Chair Nicole Donnelly who shared her story of why she's a believer in BBB and the Torch Awards. Huge thanks to our sponsors without whom this event wouldn't happen: HomeStreet Bank; San Diego Gas & Electric; The San Diego Union-Tribune; San Diego Business Journal; Sycuan Casino Resort; Marsh McLennan Agency; Miramar Kitchen & Bath; Optima Office; Bollotta Entertainment; and Replica Printing Services. And congratulations to all the winners and finalists: Low Voltage Components; Big Block Realty Inc.; JV Marketing Technologies, LLC; Replica Printing Services; Countywide Mortgage; Stella Moving & Delivery; Ideal Plumbing Heating Air Electrical; Resilient Roofing; SpotLink, a Technology Solutions Provider; Ace Janitorial Services; Marrokal Design & Remodeling; BrightStar Care of Carlsbad; Managed Solution; and CARS (Charitable Adult Rides & Services) #ethics #award #bbb #betterbusinessbureau #torchawards #sandiego #integrity #trophies #goodstuff
