We are saddened to learn of the passing of former ITVS board member, Tammy Robinson. "Tammy was a wonderful ITVS Board Member, who was sincerely committed to independent storytellers. She understood the challenges they faced and she embraced and appreciated their innovation, passion, and stubbornness. She was also a mentor to me, especially during a particularly difficult time for our fledgling series," Lois Vossen, Executive Producer, Independent Lens said. "Tammy said, 'If people stand in the way of Independent Lens' success, I know you'll fight for the series. That's your job. Don't be afraid to make waves if you know your fight is the right one.' She was gracious, kind, had a great sense of humor, and inspired me to, well, fight for Independent Lens, especially when others said the series wasn't a priority."
