Better health. Better life.
About us
Resting in the heart of western Pennsylvania, Indiana offers the perfect blend of history and progress, industry and scenery, culture and charm. When Indiana Regional Medical Center first welcomed the public in November of 1914, it was a 40-bed facility with 13 private rooms. From the time of its opening, the hospital's mission has been: to serve the community with quality, progressive, compassionate patient care. Over the years, this nonprofit institution has grown to become the Indiana County's sole full-service health care provider. Throughout its many renovations, expansions in services and continued advancements in knowledge and technology, Indiana Regional Medical Center has remained unchanged in its commitment to serve the community.

A special thanks to all who joined us at our annual Love of Life Kick-off Celebration a few weeks ago! The funds from the Love of Life Campaign enable IRMC to continue to have the latest technology available to diagnose and treat breast cancer. The Love of Life Campaign has positioned IRMC to become not only a Nationally Accredited Program for Breast Centers, but also a Comprehensive Breast Center in partnership with UPMC Hillman Cancer Center. That means patients can receive ALL of their care right here at home – from diagnosis, to surgery, to treatment, to support groups, to Birdie’s Closet, to survivor! These tremendous advancements in care are truly only made possible through contributions from the communities that IRMC serves. It's not too late to register for our Love of Life 5K, to be held on Saturday, October 19th. To register, click here: https://lnkd.in/eg4hecXf

PINK OUT FOR BREAST CANCER AWARENESS! This weekend, wear pink as we cheer on our local football teams and pay tribute to those impacted by breast cancer. Throughout October, football teams in Indiana County will proudly sport breast cancer decals on their helmets to show their support. Ladies, let this be a gentle reminder to schedule your mammogram. If you’re not due for one yet, be sure to get it on your calendar in advance!

In recognition of Suicide Prevention Month, we are inspired to share the construction progress of Indiana Regional Medical Center's new free-standing Behavioral Health Hospital. Located on IRMC's campus, the 31,000 SF facility will have 44 beds to support Behavioral Health patients! Our last update had exterior wall panels and trusses being set. Since then, the building shell is nearing completion. Interior wall framing and MEP rough-ins are moving along with drywall starting to be hung. With an anticipated January completion, this facility will provide essential support and resources for individuals in crisis for the greater Indiana County region. #LGAhealthcare #healthcaredesign #suicideprevention #behavioralhealth #mentalhealthmatters
