🌟 Exciting News from the INDIGO Team! 🌟 We are excited to announce that our team at the Chair of TTF at Ruhr University Bochum has made substantial progress in developing a reduced combustion chamber model to assess emissions of sustainable aviation fuels (SAF) for turboprop gas turbines. We are proud to share our initial research results, in collaboration with IFAS at Technische Universität Braunschweig (WP2 Task 2.2 and Task 2.4), at the ICAS Conference 2024 in Florence. Additionally, other valued project partners will also present their work results from the INDIGO project at the conference. We hope to connect with you there and discuss our innovative work! Exciting News! INDIGO's consortium group led by Marco Fossati has presented its latest research effort at AIAA SciTech! 🛫 We're thrilled to share their work on a new methodology to assess the aerodynamic performance of large aspect ratio wing aircraft with distributed hybrid electric propulsion (LARW-DHEP). The proposed method has been rigorously validated against reference data and used for a detailed sensitivity analysis of LARW-DHEP aircraft during cruise conditions. 🚀 Key Highlights: - Introduction of a novel methodology for assessing aerodynamic performance. - Validation against reference data to ensure accuracy. - In-depth sensitivity analysis for LARW-DHEP aircraft during cruise conditions. - Exploration of airframe geometry and propeller characteristics. This ongoing research is designed to provide valuable input to the project Task 1.4.
