On 10 January, the Nuclear Deterrence Immersion Course, an education initiative supporting the work of the US-ROK Nuclear Consultative Group (NCG), was highlighted in a United States Department of Defense press release for its contribution to "deepening cooperative and coordinated decision-making on nuclear deterrence and developing a joint approach to planning for nuclear contingencies.” The National Defense University Institute for National Strategic Studies’ Center for the Study of Weapons of Mass Destruction (CSWMD) developed the course and coordinates and hosts its twice annual delivery at NDU’s Fort McNair North campus. The statement also included a link to a fact sheet on NCG accomplishments which underscored the course's contribution to strengthening extended deterrence by enhancing ROK officials' expertise and knowledge of U.S. nuclear strategy, capabilities, and related operations. #Nuclear #Education For more information: https://lnkd.in/g5FhUrje
