As our birthday week draws to a close we reflect on our amazing team who drive us to be the best fiber-optic internet provider we can be. Year 3 saw an incredibly successful rollout to the Gainesville market and huge growth in homes passed in Jacksonville, and year 4 will be bigger and better. Our customers are noticing how we are changing the perception of internet service providers. Gone are the days of lackluster customer service, slow, unreliable WiFi. Just a month ago, we had a customer who messaged us on Facebook and showed his speed test of 5.4 GIG up and down. It really proved what our network can do and how will serve the needs of residents in the future. The demand for fast internet is only going to increase, and we are here for it. IQ Fiber officially turned three years old on Tuesday -- and we also got word that our Gainesville rating on Google moved from 4.9 to a perfect 5.0. In short, it was a great day for our employees -- and our customers. We have provided 100% fiber-to-the-home service in Gainesville for four months; many of our new customers have never seen the symmetrical speeds we offer. During that time, thanks to a tremendous team, we have single-handedly changed the perception of internet service providers. Gone are the days of slow upload speeds, ever-changing (always upward) bills and lackluster customer service. In part, this was our 100th Gainesville review: "Installation was professional and [IQ Fiber] even offered me an earlier time slot that became available. I am dropping off [cable modem] happily on my lunch break. Good riddance to overpriced and unreliable internet." There is plenty more to do and more markets to conquer. LAUNCHED: Did you know that the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) will soon require all ISPs to provide accurate information about the cost and performance of high-speed services? As of today, IQ Fiber is already in compliance with this federal order. The information is shown in the form of grocery store-style labels that are easy to read and easy to compare. The labels show standardized information related to speeds, data usage caps, fees, taxes and equipment charges. “These labels embody our core values of authenticity and transparency," said IQ Fiber CMO Km Smithers. If there is one thing we have learned in moving the IQ Fiber headquarters (again) to accommodate our growth … It’s not about the building. It's about the people and giving them the space they need to provide even better service to our customers. Our incredible team -- which now numbers over 150 -- made this possible. Everyone pitched in to pack, move and set up our new space. And we never heard a single person say "this isn't my job." We accomplished the move without missing a single workday, with our technicians stopping by between jobs to install TVs, connect our network, and taking the time to hook up monitors. IQ Fiber has completed our Jacksonville Phase 1 build of 60,000 homes. Less than three years ago, we put forth a plan to connect fiber to Jacksonville residents who did not have that option-- and we are excited to announce that the first phase of that plan is complete. So, on to our next chapter! IQ Fiber is excited to announce we are expanding to the Jacksonville neighborhoods of Arlington and Fort Caroline and to the St. Johns County areas of Fruit Cove and Ponte Vedra. These new builds will be a welcome addition to Arlington and Ft. Caroline, two established neighborhoods located east of downtown Jacksonville. Since IQ Fiber was founded in 2022, residents of these neighborhoods have consistently expressed high interest, and we are proud to extend our network to them. The expansion into Fruit Cove and Nocatee will serve homes adjacent to some of our private communities in the area. We also have plans to extend our network in the San Pablo and Intercoastal communities. Speaking of private communities, IQ Fiber is now serving over 100 private communities in Jacksonville, with many more lighting up in the next few months. We have grown to 140 employees across Jacksonville and Gainesville, and we are currently hiring across several departments.
