This webinar will discuss the Rules of the JAMS with President and CEO Kimberly Taylor, Executive Director Robert B. Davidson, and Laura Abrahamson. This series is designed to raise the awareness of “arbitration” users as to the right choice of Arbitration Rules, and to reinforce cooperation between the arbitral institutions. These webinars will present, one by one, institutions such as LCIA, ICC, SCC, ICSID, ICDR, HIAC and many others. Our goal is to reach beyond the ordinary and bland description of main features and give the audience a practical tool facilitating the choice of the set of rules appropriate for each individual case. Founded in 1986, the Institute for Transnational Arbitration (ITA) has become an important international educational forum in the field of transnational arbitration, counting among its members and contributors today many of the leading arbitrators and arbitration counsel in the world. The mission of the ITA is to provide leading educational and professional activities for legal counsel, arbitrators, business executives, government officials, academics and other professionals through programs and publications that examine, critique and seek to improve the practice and study of international arbitration and provide opportunities to enhance the arbitration community. Through the workshops and conferences, the Advisory Board which meets annually during the June Workshop in Dallas, publications, including the News and Notes (with its regularly updated Scoreboard of Adherence to Transnational Arbitration Treaties) and the ITA in Review, the Online Library and book series developed through the work of the Academic Council, and the co-sponsorship of the ITA Arbitration Report and KluwerArbitration.com through the work of the Board of Reporters, the ITA is making a significant contribution to the international arbitration legal community.
