We often say that our work doesn't feel like work. An outstanding community event this week in Rockford, Illinois, site of J. Jeffers & Co.'s transformational Colman Yards mixed-use redevelopment, took that sentiment to another level. Still catching my breath after the phenomenal DIAMONDS event featuring Rockford's own Grammy-winning singer and Broadway actress Michelle Williams. It was the exceptional talent + the exceptional humility for me, as Ms. Williams recounted the tremendous success of Destiny's Child alongside her mental health journey, which began at the same time. We are proud to support such an uplifting civic event that celebrates excellence while making space for the humanity inherent in all efforts, great and small!
