Throughout this summer, our Corporate headquarters in Atlanta, Georgia has had the pleasure of hosting four interns. For National Intern Day, we would like to thank each of them for dedicating their time and skills during their tenures so far. “I'm incredibly grateful for the opportunity to collaborate with a team as passionate and driven as Huber's. This internship has provided unparalleled exposure to HR operations, which I'm eager to apply wherever my career path leads,” says Lauren Connally James, Corporate Diversity, Equity & Inclusion Intern. Lauren is pictured below (middle left) with our other Corporate interns Alexandra Rodriguez Dalmau (far left), Avery DeBlasis (middle right) and Sarah Jane Eggers (far right). These bright, young minds have worked on a wide variety of projects, ranging from writing memos, to designing graphics, to researching sustainability topics. We’re so grateful they decided to share their talents with us this summer and look forward to seeing their professional accomplishments in the future. #HuberCulture #NationalInternDay

In its 13th year, Living by the Huber Principles tells the story of how our high-performing teams are working to build an ever more sustainable business and strengthen our communities for years to come. Encompassing data from each of our portfolio businesses, CP Kelco, Huber Engineered Materials and Huber Engineered Woods, this document covers a wide variety of topics, such as Safety, Health & Well-being, Growth & Innovation and Climate & Water Strategy, among many others.    We are proud to share that our latest Impact Report is aligned with GRI Standards for sustainability reporting—demonstrating substantial progress on our transparency journey. Through our Huber Helps Impact Your Community (IYC) program, we are lucky to be introduced to organizations within our local communities that have compelling missions, often creating opportunities for future collaboration beyond their initial funding.  A fantastic example of this is a recent partnership between Marietta Police Athletic League (PAL) and Huber’s Black Employees Supporting Talent (BEST) Employee Resource Group (ERG) for the Career Discovery Project. Over two days, ten employees from various roles across our Company volunteered to share their background, advice and career experiences with Marietta PAL summer camp attendees. Launched in 2007 by the Marietta Police Department, Marietta PAL aims to prevent juvenile crime and violence by providing educational, athletic and recreational opportunities to build trust and understanding between law enforcement and youth.  We deeply appreciate our employees’ dedication to the causes within their communities that matter most to them and take pride in watching these relationships continue to blossom over time.      #IBelongAtHuber #HuberHelps #CommunityEngagement #ERG #DEI

Huber Propels Future Growth of CP Kelco Through Sale to Tate & Lyle, Remains Key Stakeholder We are excited to announce that we have entered into an agreement to sell CP Kelco, one of the companies in our portfolio, to Tate & Lyle (LSE: TATE.L), a global food and beverage solutions business headquartered in London, UK. Huber will continue to stay invested in CP Kelco by becoming a shareholder with about 16% ownership in the combined organization, following completion of the transaction.  The combination of these prominent industry players — each with a long history and sharing similar culture and values — creates a combined entity well-positioned with scale to compete and thrive as a prominent and differentiated global player in sustainable ingredient solutions. The transaction will also provide employees in both organizations with appealing career opportunities for growth and development across a growing international platform.    Learn more: https://lnkd.in/ecx9tSCJ

In honor of Juneteenth, the Black Employees Supporting Talent (BEST) Employee Resource Group (ERG) hosted a celebration this afternoon that brought together employees in-person in the Atlanta office and virtually. The event featured live African drumming and dance, a catered lunch and the opportunity for colleagues to come together and celebrate the day and one another. While Juneteenth is intended to celebrate freedom, it is also a day to reflect on the hardships and racial inequalities that still exist in our world. Huber recognizes the importance of uplifting our black employees not just in the spirit of Juneteenth, but each and every day, and are proud of our commitment to creating a more inclusive and equitable future for all. When Huber invests in a new location, we aren’t just investing in our business – we're investing in the local community at large.  More than 1,200 students near the future location of the new Huber Engineered Woods (HEW) mill site in Shuqualak, Mississippi will get to participate in Project Lead The Way (PLTW) programming thanks to a $150,000 donation from Huber Helps. This funding will send 20 local teachers to training in science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) this summer, allowing STEM programming to be implemented for the 2024–2025 school year. “This incredibly generous donation will go a long way to bolster our schools and students in Noxubee and Kemper counties,” says Mississippi Governor Tate Reeves. “I’m thankful that we have incredible partners like Huber who not only bring fantastic jobs and great business to our state, but who also generously invest in and support their local communities.” Read more about our commitment to the long-term success of the Shuqualak community here: https://lnkd.in/enhtYmgX #HuberHelps #ProjectLeadTheWay #Education #CommunityEngagement https://lnkd.in/eYxkX5NT

Huber strives to create an inclusive environment, where our employees feel a sense of belonging and can bring their authentic selves to work.     In celebration of Pride Month, we are providing a myriad of avenues for employees to show their support. This includes the announcement of our brand-new Employee Resource Group (ERG), EQUAL. The acronym “EQUAL” stands for Empowering LGBTQ+ through Unity, Allyship and Leadership, and invites all supporters, allies and LGBTQ+ community members at Huber to come together and celebrate inclusivity.     In addition to the launch of EQUAL, employees will have additional opportunities for engagement and education throughout the month on a global scale, hosted by experts within the Diversity, Equity & Inclusion (DE&I) space.       #Pride #PrideMonth #DEI

As we approach Memorial Day weekend, often celebrated with cookouts and beach trips, it's important to remember its true purpose—honoring those who have made the ultimate sacrifice in service to our nation.  Through our annual contribution to the Gary Sinise Foundation’s Restoring Independence Supporting Empowerment (R.I.S.E.) program, Huber champions our nation’s heroes and their families in receiving custom-built, mortgage-free, specially adapted homes that, upon completion, are instrumental in supporting them through the challenges they face due to severe injuries they endured while serving our country.  These homes are life-changing for heroes like Retired US Army Capt. Tyson Quink. While serving in Afghanistan in 2011, Quink stepped on an improvised explosive device (IED) that caused both of his legs to be amputated. Now residing in that state of Virginia with his wife and three children, he will soon receive the keys to his new home that is specially built for their needs and dreams.  To learn more about the Gary Sinise Foundation and donate in honor of the heroes in your life, head to https://lnkd.in/eFPnDYYn. #MemorialDay #Philanthropy #HuberHelps #DEI

We are so grateful to have ILSA S.p.A. as a part of our portfolio of businesses here at Huber. Sitting within the Huber AgroSolutions strategic business unit within Huber Engineered Materials, Ilsa creates unique, custom-made bio stimulants and plant extracts utilizing amino acids extracted from leather waste — a truly circular economic product. With their commitment to providing innovative products and solutions, Huber is making a positive impact on the agriculture industry on a global scale — something we are immensely proud of. Thank you, Ilsa, for being a part of how Huber is fulfilling our purpose to improve lives for generations.

And of course, to ILSA President Paolo Girelli, for outlining the development plans together with the Huber managers, Daniel (Dan) Krawczyk, Marcello Boldrini and Ben Huber who settled for a quick sandwich to make time for the meeting amidst a period of intense work with the corporation's board in progress.
