Here’s why we bring interns on board and our special connection with the University of North Carolina Wilmington (UNCW): JSPC’s Summer 2024 Internship: This summer, JSPC welcomed two outstanding interns, Christopher Rizzi and Paige Phillips, who are rising seniors at UNC Wilmington. Throughout their internship, they supported our internal teams on key projects and met JSPC team members and industry leaders weekly. They learned about new technologies like AI and read "Start with Why" to aid their leadership journey. They also traveled to Washington DC, receiving mentorship from our founder Joey Perkins and meeting the JSPC DC Team. The internship concluded with a final presentation to JSPC leadership, showcasing their learnings and key takeaways for their senior year and beyond. Chris and Paige not only advanced our goals with their work but also brought fresh perspectives and innovative ideas to our workplace. Why UNCW? Joey Perkins, our founder, has a deeply personal connection to UNCW. His time at the university, where he was guided by inspiring professors and mentors, shaped his career. Graduating with a finance major, minoring in accounting, and earning a Master's degree in accounting, Joey is grateful for his education and is committed to offering internships to UNCW students. His initiative supports his alma mater and brings in eager-to-learn students. As intern Paige Phillips said, "Joey has shown me that, no matter how small our school is, we can achieve great things."
