Kearney was proud to sponsor Junior Achievement of Northern California’s S.H.E. Leads STEM Summit at Google. In celebration of International Women's Day, 100 young women from across the Bay Area came together to hear firsthand experiences from women in STEM, gaining insights into confidence, allyship, and problem-solving. At the event, Kearney Associate Haritha Gorthi took part in the speed-networking sessions, mentoring students and sharing career advice, while Partner Betty Pio delivered a closing keynote on her journey in STEM. It was an honor to engage with the next generation of STEM leaders and contribute to conversations that will help shape their future careers.

Hanae Ayoubi, a partner in Kearney’s Dubai office, is a passionate advocate for women’s sponsorship across the Middle East. Inspired by Maya Angelou’s powerful words, “I go forth along, and stand as ten thousand,” Hanae reflects on the courage we gain through solidarity and the power that emerges when women stand by one another. As we near the 30th anniversary of the Beijing Declaration and Platform for Action—one of the most comprehensive global frameworks for advancing gender equality and women’s empowerment—it’s an important moment to reflect on our progress and recognize the work that remains, particularly in women’s healthcare and access to timely screenings and accurate diagnostics. In a recent article with the World Economic Forum, Kearney’s Paula Bellostas Muguerza and Anna B., along with Roche’s Sofiat Makanjuola-Akinola, highlight the urgent need to prioritize investment in accessible, high-quality diagnostics to advance global gender and health equity, and how tools like the [w]Health Index can assist organizations in evaluating their efforts, identifying gaps, and taking concrete steps toward closing the gender health gap: https://bit.ly/3RgCjDA

What happens when women not only have a seat at the table but also shape the agenda? This was the central question in a powerful discussion hosted by the World Economic Forum’s Global Alliance for Women's Health, which included Paula Bellostas Muguerza and other advocates and leaders in women’s #health. The reality: women make up nearly 70% of the #healthcare workforce yet hold only 25% of #leadership positions. The opportunity: amplifying women’s voices in leadership, policy, and investment unlocks better health outcomes for all. International Women’s Day has passed, but the conversation must continue. Closing the women’s health gap is non-negotiable. Thank you Amira Ghouaibi, Dhwani Nagpal, and Julie Masiga-Omondi from the World Economic Forum and panelists Catharina Boehme from the World Health Organization, Sanjana Bhardwaj from the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, Paula Bellostas Muguerza from Kearney, and Zainab Shinkafi-Bagudu from MEDICAID CANCER FOUNDATION for joining the conversation. #IWD2025 #ForAllWomenAndGirls #GlobalAllianceForWomensHealth
