I can't think of a better way to share the Kit (formerly ConvertKit) rebrand that officially launched today than sharing Allen C. Paul's words instead. I've spent my career at Kit sharing the stories of creators like Allen, and I know I can speak for everyone at Kit when I say that creators like Allen are what keep us going, make us want to show up and do the best work we can. Because we truly believe in the value creators like Allen are bringing to the world. Thank you for this Allen!

WHY I'M CELEBRATING SOMEONE ELSE'S REBRAND You may be a little taken aback by how proud I am to have stuck with the brand formerly known as ConvertKit [archive] since starting my God and Gigs platform. They've rebranded - publicly - and their process just validates why knowing your own identity will point you in the right direction. By sticking with a company as they grow, you set yourself up to learn the lessons they learn without having to scale the way they've scaled. I'm learning a ton right now, trust. Here's some quick things I noticed just today while checking out the new environment... - Celebrating creators. The new home page at Kit (formerly ConvertKit) has three well known creators right at the top. It's a signal that they are about the people who make things, and not as much about the way / tech they use to make and promote it. I admit, I thought that this big shift would mean they would start focusing on BIG time creators and forget about the little guys like me. But I haven't seen any evidence of that. In fact, you might say they've gotten MORE responsive and focused on individual attention to the beginning or growing creator. - Trust. Everything about the interface seems to say "You know what you're doing. We trust you." When things aren't hectic in an interface, there's a sense of peace and calm that settles in. For frenetic creatives like me, that's a huge boost of confidence. - Knowledge. I've always appreciated Convertkit's focus on education and training (the same thing I appreciate in the other major parts of my tech stack, Buzzsprout and Mighty Networks) and that hasn't changed. The education / community is still there (not even rebranded yet, that's authenticity for you) and I know that the folks that find Kit now will have all the support they need. So happy "rebrand" birthday, Kit. Nice to meet you again for the first time. It was fun saying I'm a Convertkit user, but I'll quickly get used to saying... Wanna see what's in my Kit?

    Creative Director at ConvertKit

10 months of decisions, strategy, detailed design crit, feedback calls with creators, copywriting, communication (internal & external!) and project leadership have led to this 💙 ConvertKit is now Kit. And I've never been more proud of anything else in my career. I'm so proud of all the ways I've levelled up as Creative Director while leading this project. I've never tackled anything like this before, and I'm so grateful for the trust and guidance I had from Nathan Barry and Dave Altarescu throughout. Mostly though, I'm so proud to work for Kit (formerly ConvertKit) and to be a part of building a brand that truly values sincerity and depth – values I share personally. We're entering our next era as a company today, and I'm entering the next era of my career. Let's go.

Congratulations to Nathan Barry and the ConvertKit → Soon to be Kit team for their launch of the new Kit brand today! I say it on their homepage and I'll say it here – if you're trying to tie audience and revenue growth together, Kit is the best way to do it. I moved from MailChimp to Kit in August 2020 with 1800 subscribers. Today, that list is 58,000 and it's the primary engine for my near-seven-figure business. It's one of the most important tools in my own toolkit. If you're in the market for email marketing software, give it a look (I am a proud affiliate): https://lnkd.in/edgHuBZ5

Last week, something crazy happened. Rewind to 1 year ago when I attended the New York launch event for the Billion Dollar Creator podcast, hosted by Nathan Barry (founder of ConvertKit → Soon to be Kit) and Rachel Rodgers. ConverKit has been my email platform of choice and an amazing hub of growth tools for creators, and where I was featured as one of their success case studies earlier this year. It was so much fun to see this live podcast recording with one of my favourite creators Sahil Bloom and to listen in to some of the incredible guests they brought on the show since then. And last week, I was contacted by Nathan's team to say that I was selected to be an upcoming guest on it! Someone pinch me please. And I will be flying out this coming month to record in person with Nathan. 🤩 This is a true full circle moment and a constant reminder that when you put yourself out there, amazing things can happen. I attended this event last year with no set expectation but to learn, grow myself and manifest maybe being in this situation one day. And now, here I am! Crazy how life works, isn't it? Let this be your friendly Monday reminder to shoot your shot, get out there and build connections. You just never know what is waiting for you on the other side! Was this the reminder you needed today? #dreamstoreality #careergoals #betonyourself
