Just in time for Super Bowl LIX, we're releasing a new Experience™! Before he takes the stage at the Apple Music Halftime show, the Kendrick Lamar - HUMBLE. - Synth Riders Experience™ drops first for Apple Vision Pro on Feb 6. Synth Riders Experiences are musical journeys, like being in the universe of a song. Being able to create an Experience inspired by the work of Grammy, Emmy, Billboard, and BET award-winning artist Kendrick Lamar is such an amazing opportunity. We thought there was no better way to do it than with ‘HUMBLE.,’ one of Kendrick's first — of many — Hot 100 number one hits. MORE INFO:

Today we're dropping our latest DLC: The Synth Riders 80s Mixtape - Side B! Our fans loved Side A when it was released last year. We, of course, enjoyed bringing fan-favorite songs from the ‘80s to Synth Riders, but we knew that for an “80s Mixtape – Side B,” we’d have to deliver even more symbolic tracks from this totally awesome era. We think we did just that… and couldn’t resist rick-rolling our players in the process. A huge congrats to the entire Synth Riders team for putting together another amazing playlist! While the launch trailer's here, you can learn more on the Kluge blog. https://lnkd.in/gjjW6NzM #VR #XR #GameDevelopment

2024 was such a strange year for VR. It's the year Apple launched its device, Google announced Android XR, and major AAA releases such as Batman: Arkham Shadow, Metro Awakening, and Behemoth were launched. It's also the year that Gorilla Tag announced $100 million in revenue. Yet the truth is that many studios are struggling. Sales of Quest 3S have not been bumping sales in quite the way that Quest 2 sales did. Curation in the Quest store wasn't perfect, but the store's radical new shift has resulted in an overall decrease of reach for well-established titles and studios. Audiences are shifting and moving towards younger, which means an adjustment in the approach. And while VR continues to grow, its growth is proving to be slower than expected. With the success of Meta's Ray Bans, it seems that there is now a race towards smart glasses and an AR-first approach. So what to do? We believe VR is still here to stay. There's still a market in core gaming and premium experiences. There is also a lot of potential in social VR that's starting to prove very popular. But technology is shifting - Mixed Reality, Hand Tracking, AI, and smart glasses absolutely need to be considered. Studios need to consider it all - new technologies, new devices, the entry of Apple and Google into the space, and the shift of audience. The opportunity lies in the studios that successfully balance the mastery of it all. The space will keep growing, but it will also keep taking unexpected turns. 2024 was a year of transition for XR. A lot has changed from January to now. We at Kluge are changing too, bringing all these variables into our approach to game development. And we can't wait for what 2025 brings! This isn't a market for the faint of heart, but if you love innovation, this is where it's at. #XR #metaverse #spatialcomputing #ar #vr #mr Photo credit: Article from "The Digital Speaker" (link in comments)

It's been a busy year here at Kluge and delivering new tracks to Synth Riders is just the start. Working with Meta to create amazing Horizon Worlds, a brand new game inside of Roblox, and the work continues on our VR Fighting game, Final Fury. We wouldn't be where we are without our incredible global team, our partners, and our fans. So, to all of you: Thanks. Please celebrate the season with someone you love IRL (…and in VR). Happy Holidays!

Earlier this year, we were proud to join Sony's PlayStation Plus program. With it, #PSVR2 owners get free access to #SynthRiders' core game. So, as we head into the holidays, make sure to download it -- and have yourself a merry little Synthmas this year.

Kluge Interactive’s Aims for More UGC Platforms with Our First Roblox Game, BeatBlocks

We just launched our first-ever Roblox Experience: A music game called, “BeatBlocks.” Link in comments! It’s the DJ vs dancers, as players dodge obstacles, bombs, and lava, to get coins and win against their opponents. Why Roblox? It’s a natural extension of our years of experience with Horizon Worlds. Since 2021, we’ve been building Worlds like Giant Paddle Mini Golf, NBCUniversal’s Halloween Horror Nights, and we created the hub for the last two Meta Connect conferences. We love working with creator platforms. After all, they play a meaningful role in the future of gaming, and are a natural extension of our constant search for innovation as a company. Take BeatBlocks. It is a different way to look at music games—and from our perspective, it’s a natural extension to what we do with Synth Riders. We see a lot of potential here — the team can’t stop playing BeatBlocks! So we plan to do what we do best here at Kluge: iterate, update, and keep learning alongside our community!
We're proud to announce that our team released its first game on @Roblox! Welcome to BeatBlocks — a game where it's DJ versus the Dancers to see who survives the round! We faced a unique challenge, coming to a UGC-based platform and what started as a simple experiment has turned into something so much more. This is just a taste of what we've got planned for 2025 and beyond. Looking forward to seeing what you (and your kids) think of BeatBlocks — available now. GAME: https://lnkd.in/dVNjE6_v
