  • Aiming to further the growth of the Kyuden Group, preparations for the transition to a holding company have begun. This transition will mark a momentous development for the Kyuden Group. Considering the upcoming expected business opportunities in the electricity business, the Group has decided to pursue two main objectives: 1. Group Management From an Overall Optimization Perspective: Efforts will be made to optimize the allocation of management resources from a group-wide perspective and enhance group governance. 2. Autonomous and Prompt Business Operations: By carrying out business activities tailored to the respective business environments and characteristics under the responsibility and authority of each business company, it will contribute to strengthening the competitiveness of each business. While details of the group structure are currently under consideration and will be announced after a decision has been made, we are considering positioning major business companies directly under the holding company and allowing each company to autonomously promote its business. Be sure to follow for more updates on our business strategy and future growth. #EnergyIndustry #management #BusinessStrategy

  • On Ebeye Island in the Marshall Islands, Kyuden is contributing to the reduction of fossil fuel consumption through a #SolarPower generation system installation project. Supported by the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA), the project aims to improve energy security and introduce #RenewableEnergy to Ebeye Island, a region that was heavily dependent on diesel-generated power. We are about to enter the project's most exciting phase, where we prepare system operations. Kyuden is dedicated to the construction management of the Energy Management System (EMS) and the Battery Energy Storage System (BESS). Additionally, Kyuden will prepare manuals and provide training to support the development of technicians' skills for the facility's operations and maintenance. Ryoko Rikihisa of our Corporate Strategy Division offered a view into her work life at Kyuden International. As opposed to managing one specific aspect of business, Ryoko enjoys being playing a role in the company on a wider scale, including management and #BusinessStrategy planning. She shares that in the team, there is respect for a wide range of ideas as they all work together. "We operate under the pretense that there is no single right answer to business strategies," she says. "Therefore, it's important that we listen to each other and consider each member's ideas as possibilities for growth." Outside of work, Ryoko likes to stay active by training at a local karate dojo. Not only does it offer a change of pace, but it gives her a chance to interact with others in the local community. --- 💡 Want to learn more about our corporate strategies? • Kyushu Electric Power boasts a long history of milestones that have sculpted who we are today. The company was founded in 1951, and its first five decades were spent focused on domestic operations, with many projects being the first of their kind in Japan. The experience gained during this time prepared the company with diverse expertise to move beyond the borders of Japan. Then in 1999, with the establishment of the wholly-owned subsidiary Kyuden International, the company launched its global operations. Today, with over 70 years in the energy business, our superior expertise is available to customers all around the world. 🌐💡 #energy #BusinessExpansion #GlobalBusiness
