Our snowplow teams start their morning shift at 3 a.m. (❗) working hard to clear our streets so that kids can get to school and folks can get to work safety. Please join us in thanking these unsung heroes for doing what they do! We appreciate you, #SnowSlayers! ❄️

We’re proud to support initiatives that make a positive impact on the lives of our residents.

At the Lakewood Parks and Recreation Charles Whitlock Rec Center, they’ve installed a specialized floor that vibrates with the music, allowing those who are unable to hear to feel the rhythm and join in on the joy of dance. Thanks to partnerships like this, Lakewood is leading the way in creating an inclusive community where everyone can express themselves through movement! 🕺💃

Yesterday, we celebrated our hometown hero, Beatriz Hatz, at City Hall! 🏅 Beatriz, a Paralympic bronze medalist in long jump, joined us to sign a jersey and present it to Mayor Wendi Strom. Later in the evening, City Council issued a proclamation declaring Oct 28, 2024, Beatriz Hatz Appreciation Day. We're so proud of Beatriz and all she’s achieved! Thank you, Beatriz, for representing Team USA and our Lakewood community on the world stage! 👏 🇺🇸
