The Place des Fleurs-de-Macadam, designed by NIPPAYSAGE and EXP, provided proof of concept. When tested, it absorbed 97% of a 100-year storm, with each dollar invested predicted to save at least five in averted flood damage. Forest Futures tasks players with thinning an overstocked forest to reduce wildfire risk. The game earned an American Society of Landscape Architects Honors Award in the Student Communications category.
